The guides enjoy meeting people from different countries and backgrounds, sharing Japanese culture, and learning about other cultures. Please enjoy spending time with them and learning about Japan through local perspectives. Cycling is the best ways to explore Kyoto. It allows you to cover more ground than walking while experiencing the city in an exciting way. This tour is ideal for travelers who want to discover famous cultural sites and hidden gems while also enjoying conversations with a Japanese guide. Itinerary
We will walk through Sanjusangendo Temple, which is known for its impressive hall containing 1,001 statues of Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy.
Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto’s most iconic shrines, famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates. We will take about 30 minutes at the shrine to walk through.
Toji Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Japan’s tallest wooden pagoda. We will not enter Toji temple, but have some time for photos.
We will cycle through Umekoji Park where it’s a social hub in Kyoto.
