Itinerary
Your first stop will be the formerly biggest Cistercian abbey in Central Europe with the stunning Gothic and Baroque Gothic Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist. You can admire work of extremely talented architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichl, who is responsible for renovation of the cathedral. Your guide will point out unique architectonical features as you walk through the church.
Just few steps from the cathedral lies the Cemetery Church of All Saint with the Ossuary. Learn why and how the Ossuary was created and see the amazing art pieces made of human bones. Sedlec Ossuary is a place where human bones are the one and only decoration.
After a short bus ride to the city center of Kutna Hora, your guide will show you the Italian Court, a former Royal mint of Czech kingdom and residence of the Czech kings.
After a lunch break in one of the best local restaurants you'll have the opportunity to explore the life of silver miners in a museum dedicated to the Kutná Hora's silver mining tradition. Experience a fascinating journey through a real medieval silver mine in a typical silver miner dress with a white coat, helmet and a flashlight.
Your last stop takes you to the symbol of pride of Kutná Hora’s burghers. See the amazing Gothic cathedral of St. Barbara with original medieval frescoes on the walls. Afterwards you'll enjoy a relaxing train ride back to Prague with your guide and end of your journey at Prague's main train station.

We took a train to Kutna Hora with Honza, they were working on the train lines so we had to switch to a bus and Honza made this a breeze. If you are a history buff and want to know a lot about the history of the area and each stop this tour is for you! We had a great day, it is long, but everything included was great. Honza was very knowledgeable about everything we saw during our day. There were a lot of details he pointed out that would have been missed outherwise.
We had amazing day visiting Kutna Hora. Our tour guide Petra was perfect in leading the tour - we visited a lot of amazing sites and lunch was delish! I strongly recommend this tour .
Very informative, both in history of the Czech Republic and of KintaHora. Our guide, Honda, was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. The trip down to salt mine was quite exciting and the lunch was outstanding. Architecture and history of something not to miss.
We’ve done a lot of tours over the years, and Jack did something no other guide has ever done — at the very beginning, he asked each of us what we were personally interested in and actually tailored parts of the day around that. It made the entire experience feel thoughtful, personal, and completely different from a standard scripted tour. Jack was an incredible guide: friendly, engaging, and a true wealth of knowledge about Czech history (and the history of Kutna Hora itself), culture, and daily life. Every question we had was answered with interesting stories and context that made everything we were seeing feel so much more meaningful. You pack so much into this day, Highly, highly recommend this experience
A great day spent with our guide Petra. Super knowledgeable. Bone church is incredible. Beautiful lunch with great views. The churches we visited were unique. Silver mine was very interesting.
Anna our tour guide made our trip interesting enjoyable and easy! We saw numerous different sites in the area and had a wonderful lunch. She made sure all our questions were answered and went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. Great day on a great tour. Highly recommended
Our guide Michal was very knowledgeable and engaging as he walked us through all of the stops during the day. We really enjoyed our trip and would recommend him to anyone looking to take a day trip from Prauge to see the silver mines and history of Kutna Hora!
A great way to see and learn Czech history beyond Prague. The fact that silver was found in and around this town gave Czech the wealth it needed to become and important European country. AND the Bone Chapel is so interesting!
Honza "Jack" was a superb guide on our day-long excursion to Kutna Hora. His extensive knowledge about the Czech Republic and its history (and his excellent English skills) made for a very informative and interesting tour. We had a delicious lunch with Jack at a local restaurant with traditional food. Thank you, Jack, for a very memorable day on our vacation!
Our trip to Kutná Hora became truly unforgettable thanks to our exceptional tour guide, Mr. Hounza. From the moment the tour began, he set the perfect tone—friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. What made the experience stand out was not just his hospitality, but the way he brought Czech history to life. As we moved from one landmark to another, Hounza walked us through every significant chapter of the country's past with clarity, passion, and just the right amount of storytelling flair. He had an incredible ability to connect historical events with the sites we were visiting, making everything feel meaningful and relevant. Whether we were exploring the fascinating architecture of the town or learning about its medieval significance, Hounza ensured that every moment was insightful and enjoyable. His dedication, patience, and depth of knowledge made the tour both educational and entertaining. If you’re visiting Prague or planning a trip to Kutná Hora, I wholeheartedly recommend choosing Hounza as your guide. He doesn’t just show you places—he helps you understand them. A truly memorable experience!
