Choose your desired tour start time and travel independently to Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in central Krakow. Meet your guide outside and hear how the museum is housed in the very factory where the Nazi industrialist Oskar Schindler employed Jewish workers during WWII. Before starting, get an illuminating introduction to Schindler, learning how Steven Spielberg brought his story to the world’s attention in his 1993 Oscar-winning movie, Schindler’s List. Then, head inside for your in-depth tour. Made up of interactive and photographic displays, the museum concentrates not only on Schindler’s and his employees’ work, but also on Krakow’s suffering during the run-up to war and beyond. As you explore, your guide will provide fascinating commentary, recounting poignant tales that will deepen your understanding of what happened here and Krakow’s history. Learn Schindler’s story and how his Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army: a vital war effort that protected them from near-certain transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — who worked in the factory. Follow your guide around the rooms dedicated to Krakow’s suffering during the war and later 20th century. View photographs of the terrorized city; be transported into the cobbled streets, resistance hideaways and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city; and get a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the population through original documents, artifacts, and film and radio recordings. After two hours of exploring, your tour ends outside the building. Say goodbye to your guide, who will provide you with directions back to the city center or your hotel as required.

Schindler’s factory

The experience contained many photographs that one can view in a documentary or history book. There weren’t many original artifacts and you don’t explore the actual factory. You see the administrative offices of the factory. It was neat to see Schindler’s office space and pay your respects to the people who worked there and suffered that terrible period in our history.

Leave Viator well alone!

We booked a trip with Viator in February 2026 to Oscar Schindlers factory in Krakow for our Polish trip on Thursday July 30th for 2 Adults. We received confirmation the trip was booked and paid for on 18/02/26. On arriving at Krakow Airport on Wednesday 28 July we received an email stating the trip had been cancelled, no reason given at this point but a FULL refund would be given (note a FULL refund will be given). With a tight schedule and not wanting to miss out on the factory trip I hastily tried to see if I could book again through Viator on the same day but different time. I thought I had succeeded. We made our way to the factory on Thursday 30th July but on arriving and looking at the booking at the door on my phone I suddenly noticed I had mistakenly booked for 27 August 2026 when we would be back in the U.K. Heaven knows how I did it but there it was, a mistake. So we paid to go in at the entrance so not to miss out. On return to the hotel and after dinner I tried to contact Viator via the chat to get a refund for my mistake. I was told no refunds despite my mistake as the tickets would have been sold and could not be cancelled! I also got told by Viator they had gone through another company but we had never been told that at any point. Our contract as far as we were concerned was with Viator. We had not even been told why the original trip was cancelled. Viator looked into that and sent us an email to say the trip was cancelled by Discover Poland (who are they, οur contact and contract was with Viator!) because NO Availability for the selected date and time! Yet we had booked and paid for 30th July at 10:40 and a confirmation email! So how could they say ‘No availability for selected date and time??? Viator said we could not get a refund on the tickets bought for 27th August as the tickets had been sold to us via another company and to speak with them but hang on we had confirmed booking since February for the original tour date and yet they were refunding! Even now there is plenty of time to cancel our August 27th date and tickets, someone else can and will have the opportunity to purchase the tickets, but still it was a ‘no’. So, on one hand, to issue a refund, but when it’s a mistake on your part ‘ NO’ is very unfair and not RIGHT! So Viator give us the details of KrakowBooking.com, we contact the company who issued the tickets and they refuse refund too! People be very aware of Viator, we will not use them again, ever, for any tours wherever and we advise you to do your own due diligence before using a company that clearly do not let you know they sub contract out with another company and are not in the slightest bit concerned about people losing money for genuine mistakes!

Disappointing,

I expected it to be more about Schindlers factory, how they lived worked and why they were chosen with a few settings of the factory its self , it was more about Krakow and world wars. Very little on the factory. Our guide however was very good. No disrespect to anyone. But i left there disappointed.

Not just story Schindler. Also the war in Krakow

Nice museum. It tells not only the story of Schindler’s factory, but the history of the war in Krakow, starting with the independence of Poland around 1918. Is occasionally claustrophobic. They are all corridors, which are sometimes very narrow. What is annoying is that the guided tours, which are given, block corridors and the exhibition

Schindlers factory guided tour

Booked through Discover Cracow amd had the tour with Woycek..he was so informative, entertaining amd very honest about all he shared. We could have listened to him for longer than the 90 mins..the time went very quickly, we didn't get to see everything but had we gone on our own without the tour im not sure we would have picked up on the full experiences. Would definitely recommend.....please pass on our thanks, family of 4 visited 29.7.26

Well explained tour, details captured well by Wojcek. English was easy to understand. Meeting place during rain could hv been under a roof.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your recommendation and for taking the time to share your feedback! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that Wojtek (Woycek) made such a great impression with his clear English and detailed explanations. He always works hard to make the history accessible and engaging, and we will be sure to pass your kind words along to him! We also really appreciate your practical feedback regarding the meeting point during rainy weather. You make a very valid point—waiting in the rain is never comfortable, and having shelter while waiting for the group to assemble would make for a much better start to the experience. We are looking into options to adjust our meeting arrangements on rainy days to keep our guests dry. Thank you again for exploring Schindler's Factory Museum with us, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in Kraków soon! Kind Regards, Discover Cracow Team
