This is a walking tour. Your host will meet you at your selected hotel, and the tour will begin on foot. If you’d prefer to meet at a central location instead, please choose the meeting point option. If your hotel isn’t on the list, simply select the central landmark option. This is a private walking experience. Booking the food experience tour with Benny was the highlight of our trip. Benny did not just take us to eat amazing, authentic ethnic food; he also shared the history and heritage behind every single dish. We visited local food markets and tasted incredible street food flavours we never would have found on our own. What truly sets Benny apart is the wellness and the cultural education he integrates into the experience. During our stops, he taught us about the health benefits of drinking hot green tea with our meals explaining how it cuts through rich foods and thus aids digestion. He also took the time to educate us on the traditional dining customs. Benny taught us proper chopsticks etiquette- like never sticking them vertically in the food and the cultural significance of how to hold and use the crockery correctly. It completely changed how we appreciated each meal and made us feel so much more respectful and connected to the culture. Benny is incredibly knowledgeable, warm and passionate about his job. We had an absolutely fantastic food tour in Hong Kong with Benny! From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations. Absolutely delighted by our tour with Benny yesterday evening. Not only did he know all the spots for the best versions of local cuisine, which he picked out among the thousands of tiny places, but we got a thorough tour of many neighbourhoods and markets (including a whole Neighbourhood which is a goldfish market!) giving us a real sense of how people live in the city which is so different from our North American lived experience. He also came through with a couple of clutch plays helping us find some miscellaneous articles that we were needing, knowing which shops and which people to ask. He was very patient with her many, many questions and took great pains to adapt the tour to our preferences. We gained such a deeper understanding of the city with him than in our wanderings by ourselves. We cannot recommend him enough.

He contacted us in advance to find out what we were interested in, and then provided specific instructions on where to meet him. Once we were together, he listened carefully and adapted the tour on the go. We cannot recommend this tour and Benny highly enough!

Went to many Michelin star local restaurants and tried many different types of favorite Chinese food. Benny was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. We had so much food we couldn’t eat until the next day. We especially enjoyed the Temple Street night market. Great tour and guide. I highly recommend it and advise you to come very hungry!!
