Kobe Sake Tour: 3+ Breweries & Tastings with a Sake Expert

Description
This is more than a brewery walk. With a local sake expert, visit three or more breweries and taste a carefully selected range of sake while learning how rice, water, fermentation, and brewing methods shape each flavor. Discover the true taste of Japanese sake in Nada Gogo—Japan’s most celebrated sake-brewing region and the heart of Kobe’s sake culture. Through clear explanations and guided tastings, you will begin to recognize the differences between sake styles, understand your own preferences, and learn how to choose and enjoy sake with greater confidence throughout the rest of your trip in Japan. Your guide will also share local stories and insights that are difficult to discover by visiting the breweries on your own. The experience is friendly, relaxed, and easy to follow, whether you are completely new to sake or already an enthusiast. During Japan’s hot summer season, we use a shorter and more comfortable route while keeping the experience rich in tastings and discovery.

Hiro was an incredible guide for our family. We brought our two daughters ages 8 and 10 and she prepared a bunch of toys and little stickers to keep them entertained while my husband and I enjoyed sake. We learned a lot and also really enjoyed talking with Hiro. She was flexible and patient with us and she went out of her way to help us to the train station we needed. Absolutely recommend this tour!

This sake tour was great. Four breweries were visited which was plenty - they all included sake tastings. A lot of history about sake was explained, as well as the processes that go into producing sake. Very informative!

We really enjoyed our Kobe Sake tour with our tour guide - Romi. We got to sample many different sakes and learned about the history of sake and the sake making process. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Sake or beverage tastings. It was also a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the big cities during our Japan trip. Very easy to get to from Osaka.

Wow - what a great experience. The guide Hiroman was amazingly nice and competent. I learned a lot about Sake history, brewing process as well as categorization and at the same time we had really a lot of fun. Thank you for the wonderful afternoon.

This was a very informative tour about the process of making saki. We got to see some nice breweries and even had a stop at a tofu making shop. Overall we enjoyed the tour. Be prepared to do a lot of walking between stops. Some of the information gets a little repetitive. I would also like to point out that if you click the Google Maps link in TripAdvisor for the meeting location it puts you about six blocks from the meeting location which is just the train station gate. Not good. Enjoyed the tour guide Hiroman.
Thank you very much for joining our tour and for sharing your honest feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed learning about the sake-making process, visiting the breweries, and stopping by the tofu shop. We also appreciate your comments about the walking distance and the information feeling a little repetitive, and we will use this feedback to improve the tour experience. We sincerely apologize for the incorrect Google Maps link on TripAdvisor. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will check and correct it as soon as possible. We truly appreciate your helpful feedback and hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Japan.
Hiroman was a great tour guide! He taught us so much about sake and was very informative and fun. It was a very hot day and he made sure we were comfortable walking to each brewery and took us to areas for breaks. He even had a bottle of sake for us to drink in between breweries and snacks! He was so personable and attentive. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Thank you so much for giving us such an wonderful review! Yes, Japan is getting warmer now and to operate a safety sake tour is the most important thing for us, and we are happy that you had a relaxed fun time with Hiroman. Thank you so much for choosing us!
We were only a small group but the guides gave it there all. i even got to wish for an extra stop on the tour. If you like sake it is a must. If you want to know about a very unique Japanese product also a must, and if you only want to have a fun afternoon, that is also fine.
Thank you for your amazing review! Yes, Japanese sake is very unique product with a lot of effort in it, we are happy that you've knew it. We hope your life will be filled with sake from now! Thank you for choosing us!
This was a great and fun experience. Hiro, our guide was very knowledgeable & did a great job explaining about the different kinds of sake and the history of the region. We visited three breweries and also stopped at a small tofu shop run by two sisters. The breweries all had plenty of sake sampling and extensive gift shops. Be prepared to walk a bit ( a few kilometers) but we made several stops to rest on a hot day. You can certainly do the breweries on your own, but you'd miss out on the information we got from Hiro and her colleague, Hama. We rendezvoused at train station in the brewery district and ended up at another station. Very easy to get to and from.
Thank you so much for giving us such a detailed review and information! That helps a lot to the newly guests! We are happy that your day with sake was a great day, and wishing you'll have a great sake time when you go back to your country. Thank you so much for choosing us!
