With its small palace, the room of murals, the royal tombs and the royal mansion,Knossos is probably the most significant token of a civilization that left such marks in history that can never be erased.The intricate structure of the palace corridors gave it the name Labyrinth,where, according to the myth,the legendary Minotaur used to live. The marvelous architectural plan, the use of rare and luxurious materials,the advanced techniques of construction and drainage system and the massive size of the palace of Knossos make it,even today,the most amazing sight on Crete.
We return to the city for a stroll in the center of Heraklion, accompanied by our English-speaking guide. Then, you will enjoy free time in the capital of Crete for shopping in its modern stores, enjoying our coffee or lunch in one of its many restaurants, visiting the Archaeological Museum or just exploring its superb medieval buildings.
After our visit to Knossos Palace, we are going towards Patsides to visit the Minoan Farm, a place where you have the opportunity to try their products and wander their estate fully planted with Cretan herbs.

The pick up should take place according to your plan at 9:20 from the reception Aeolos beach they call us at 8:45 to then get to the main road in Malia which would be a 21 minute walk and what happens now ?
Hello your reservacion was for 9 oct at 08.30 and we sent to you email at 7 okt 10.25 am that the pick up was from meropi hotel 8.30 not from your hotel who is 190 meters from you and you didnt was there
We booked this trip through Trip Advisor. A confirmation from the tour operator followed a few hours after booking. 10 minutes after the pick up time we called the organizer who claims not to have received a reservation. Unreliable and unprofessional. The only offer was to make the trip a week later.

Great value for pick-up, air conditioned coach, competent and clear descriptions by tour guide at Knossos Palace and Heraklion City. Visit to Bee Farm interesting…. and tasty. Great driver too.

Very nice and educational trip to Knosos. We went as 2 friends, got picked up around 9 A.M and were done in Hiraklion around 3 P.M. For the price, the value of the tour is amazing. You get transport to Knosos, fast entrance and a very good guided tour around the palace. Moreover, it is almost mandatory to have a guide, since there are very little historical information avaliable to read for free at the site. As a very nice addition, the visit to the local bee-farm and a quick tour around Hiraklion were both very enjoyable. -Alex&Martin

The boat trip was perfect from start to finish. The island of Gramvousa was spectacular. Everyone had an option to go to the pirate fortress or stay at the beach with crystal clear azure water. The Balos lagoon was very beautiful and there we spent 3 hours in pristine waters and white sand beach. The trip was definitely worth the money with platanos tours.
