Khao Lak ATV Quad Bike Adventure

Fabulous, we were lucky enough to be the only 2 booked on for our time slot. Had a great time, plenty of photo opportunities too. Recommend!!!

Excellent experience, nice family run business, the guides explained everything clearly. They assessed our ability on the easy tracks before moving us on to some more challenging trails through the jungle. Stunning scenery and great fun.

Yesterday it had poured rain all night and into the morning, not the tour company’s fault I know, but we were to do a 2 hour quad bike ride in the mountains the rain hadn’t let up. I contacted the tour company early to ask about the ride and said I didn’t want to be riding drenched for two hours. I explained it wasn’t much fun wearing a raincoat in the rain when the company said we were hoped for two and they’d give us raincoats. No offer to rearrange or cancel, just you’re already booked. My messaged to the tour company this morning, their response was “I’ll talk to the guide”. That was hours ago. ‘I’m disappointed with our quad bike ride yesterday in the pouring rain and really feel you should have cancelled it or arranged another time. It poured rain the entire time and we felt that staff were simply trying to kill time while we were there. They had us do the mud holes behind the atv camp for the first 30 mins, after 15 mins it became boring. After that they took us up the road to the temple to feed the cat fish and Spy said it wouldn’t be safe to go on the planned trip up the mountain, especially for my husband. The girl in the lead them took us on more roads to a field by the river where we waited for approx 10 minutes. I used google translate to ask where we were going after this but didn’t get much information. I asked where spy was and she said at camp. She hopped on her bike and started up a dirt road. We were 1 hour 10 minutes into a ride that had been less than fun in the pouring rain and my husband and I had had enough! We asked her to turn around and take us back. Communication was dreadful, she was lovely but couldn’t communicate with us. Spy was back at the camp and I told him the whole tour should have been called off with the amount of rain and it wasn’t fun at all. Despite the rain costs we were saturated. Spy offered to take us to the elephant sanctuary as we still had 40 minutes left in our ride. We appreciated him trying to make up the time but the trip should have been cancelled or alternative time or trip organised, not forced to go ahead like it was.’ There are a number of companies that do quad tours and I’d hope they’d be more flexible. Definitely didn’t get what we’d signed up for!

We wanted a short ATV experience that wasn't technically difficult, but still challenging enough to be fun for us, and this is exactly what these guys provided. Our guide was great, taking us at the right pace over the right terrain. He was mindful that I had my 8yo daughter on the ATV with me and paced accordingly (if you are thinking of taking your kid, they sit in front of you, not behind so you don't need to worry about them falling off). The track is located next to a lovely clear river and you start your ride crossing a bridge over it. The ATVs were mechanically very good. I'd definitely recommend this as a great family activity while in Khao Lak.

We had a brilliant day . My mom in her 60s and daughter who is 16 it was fun for all . Tour guid was brilliant took photos and videos and sent them to my phone .
