Extraordinary experience, highly recommended! Brenda is a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and great fun!
Wonderful experience. Brenda was our guide and she was fantastic and so much fun. Got to see different flowers and plant species, bird species, a capybara resting in the mangroves, and the casitas along the canal edge. Highly recommended.
I happened to be the only person who booked for the 09:00 kayak mangrove tour that day. Brenda was a very chilled out guide and I enjoyed my outing with her. My only complaint was that there were no details of when the trip commenced when I booked the excursion. My phone call was not answered. Eventually the boss got in touch and told me I could chose a 09:00 trip or 16:00. If you are booking this go in the morning as the sea is calm. It can get a bit choppy in the afternoon due to the wind.
Guides Lumila and Sergio are very attentive. We could not go on the scheduled day and fortunately Paul was very attentive and allowed us to do it on another day. Tour note ten
What a cool experience! Brenda was an amazing guide, who has a great sense of humour and clearly has a passion for doing this tour! I may not have been the best kayaker, but she was patient and made sure it was an unforgettable experience! We kayaked around a beautiful island inhabited by all sorts of exotic birds and then kayaked through a mangrove seeing capybaras. I highly recommend this tour! Thanks Brenda and Paulo!
I discovered Kayak Paraty through travelers on YouTube. Intrigued by their images and stories, I decided to go there myself to book a kayak trip. There, I met Mateo. A few exchanges, a relaxed Mood, and voila, the exit was set for the next day. On D-Day, there were four of us, accompanied by Mateo, ready to embark on a planned two-hour ride... which eventually turned into six hours of adventure. But who really counts, when you’re in the heart of the mangrove, slaloming between the roots, watching flamingos, birds whose name I don’t know anymore, and even a sea turtle that gave me a look like: "He's not going to finish the ride." Spoiler: she was not completely wrong. Along the way, we took a break on an absolutely beautiful, secluded beach with transparent waters. The perfect opportunity to swim, cool off and enjoy the paradise setting, far from everything. Fortunately, Mateo showed incredible patience. At one point, he even boarded my kayak with me to help me paddle. Thanks to him, the return was in a good mood, in song and without stress. And in the middle of the day: a dream lunch, feet in the water, Postcard Mood, simple and magical. A huge thank you to Mateo for this unforgettable adventure, shared with our Belgian Team, full of laughter, discoveries and raw nature. An experience to live, really.
Great outing in Paraty Bay, thank you to Mateu for his explanations in English, French and Spanish! Beautiful landscapes, especially the Bird Island.
Originally scheduled for the mangroves tour, but sometimes the tide is too low to allow access so I was placed on the islands tour instead. They gave me the option of a free cancelation, but I decided to continue to the islands. The islands were beautiful, all containing fascinating kinds of birds and vegetation. Our tour guide, Brenda, was hilarious and informative, able to answer questions about each island you visit. We were able to stop at some private, small beaches and go swimming. She also took many photos and videos, and sent them to me! Would recommend to anyone trying to see more of the bay in a fun, shorter amount of time.
I higly recommend this tour ! Brenda is really nice and will teach you a lot on the beautiful nature of Paraty ! You will enjoy stuning landscapes during a calm kayaking tour far from the tourists. If you like nature and are looking for a great ecotourism activity, don't wait any further ! Definetely the best tour I did in Paraty :)
The tour is advertised as a mangrove tour, but in reality it's just kayaking under the sun for three hours and going into a mangrove for ten minutes. The guide didn't seem to care and except for a brief "class" on how to kayak before starting, he left us on our own and we had to follow him from afar. After about an hour of kayaking, we took a quick break and the guide told us to rest for a bit and go to the bathroom if we needed to. He then walked towards the building and stayed on his phone. After one of us exited the toilet asking why there wasn't any running water to flush or wash our hands, the guide told us we weren't allowed to use the facilities as they were private property and that if we needed to go to the bathroom, we had the ocean for that.
Dear Ramir. You, really deserve an answer : according to your review for me it is very clear you don't read before you buy. The tour goes for 3hs and it says very clearly it isn't a tour for sedentary people. I don't understand what you were really looking for. If you only saw the sun, probably need to go to the eyes doctor because for sure you have some problem with your sight. We have a great scape, surrounded by mountains and national park, islands with all its particular flora and fauna, tons of wild life along the way. The mangroves is part of it. Sorry they were not enough for you with all its beauty and much wild life as well. We have a stop at the beach for your relax, and the guide is not obligated to keep a conversation with you all the time and as well we leave people to to enjoy moments for them self as well , combined with assistance all along the way. Some times inthe front some times in the back and trying to divide assistance with everyone. Next time , I suggest you to take a private tour were you will recieve all the special attention that you need. Finally, it is basic education to know that you don't use other people's property when they are not at home. Best regards : your guide and company owner. Mateu LLobell.
