Located in the city of Lalitpur, Patan Durbar Square is a masterpiece of Newari architecture. Its courtyards, temples, and palace complex offer a glimpse into the medieval Malla era. Don’t miss the Krishna Mandir, and the Patan Museum.
Although a bit further from the city center, Bhaktapur is worth including if you have time. It's the best preserved of the three royal squares, with timeless architecture, terracotta art, and local crafts. It feels like stepping back into the 15th century.
