Nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka's central highlands, Ramboda Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder cascading from a height of over 100 meters (328 feet). As you approach, you’ll hear the soothing sound of water crashing into the rocky pool below—a perfect moment to pause, breathe in the fresh air, and take unforgettable photos. The Ramboda area is also known for its cool climate and scenic tea estates, making this waterfall an ideal stop for nature lovers and photographers alike. Bluefield Tea Gardens was started by a visionary banker, Maurice Worms, in the early 1800s. Acquiring forest lands in 1841, he initiated tea cultivation, marking the birth of the small tea garden that evolved into Bluefield Tea. Over the years, Bluefield grew, weathering challenges and contributing to Sri Lanka’s tea industry. Today, Bluefield Tea is a story that continues to unfold with every harvest and every poured cup, inviting enthusiasts to savor the essence of this extraordinary journey.
One of the most iconic colonial landmarks in Sri Lanka, the Nuwara Eliya Post Office is a charming red-brick building that dates back to 1894, standing proudly in the heart of this cool-climate hill town. Built during British rule, it features classic Tudor-style architecture with steep gables, a clock tower, and white-framed windows that make it a favorite photo spot for visitors. More than just a functioning post office, this historic building reflects the colonial past of Nuwara Eliya—often referred to as "Little England". Inside, you’ll find vintage-style counters still in operation, along with souvenirs and postcards that can be mailed with a special stamp—a unique travel memory for many. Surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and often shrouded in cool mist, the Nuwara Eliya Post Office offers a nostalgic and picturesque stop for those exploring the town's old-world charm.
Lake Gregory is a scenic man-made lake in the heart of Nuwara Eliya, perfect for relaxing by the water or enjoying activities like paddle boating, jet skiing, and horseback riding. Surrounded by lush hills and cool breezes, it’s a favorite spot for both locals and travelers.
Located just outside Nuwara Eliya, Hakgala Botanic Gardens is Sri Lanka’s second-largest botanical garden, home to thousands of colorful flowers, exotic plants, and towering trees. Set in a cool, misty climate, it’s a peaceful escape with stunning natural beauty and links to the Ramayana legend.

Toni is a great guide. He picked us up at the hotel in Kandy and spent the whole day with us. When traveling with two children, he adapted to our needs and even changed the route for an additional visit we requested. 100% recommended.
Our journey to Nuwara with Rohan was wonderful, on the way we stop at every place where we wanted to stop (waterfalls, Tea exploitation, restaurant, local wood workshop and spice garden) we had an amazing day with Rohan who was really kind with us, and implicated to show us every best places that he know. So thank you so much ! Thomas ALCARAZ.
If anyone is planning a trip from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, you HAVE to book this driver. I found him near the Sri Maha Bodhi Vihara temple, and he made my journey so special. He didn't just drive; he showed me the real Sri Lanka. We visited the Asgiri Maha Viharaya, met a lovely local family making traditional wooden crafts, stopped at Ramboda Falls, and toured the Blue Field Tea Factory. He is such a kind, patient soul—he even looked after me in the rain with an umbrella. The price was highly affordable and the service was unmatched. Safe, trustworthy, and genuine. Excellent guide who speak very good English. Knows all the spots.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I have had the best day with Tony visiting Nuwara Eliya by tuk tuk. Some guides just take you places, but as an experienced guide Tony teaches you the background behind the places and why they are significant, meaning I didn’t just visit temples and attractions, I understood them and their stories! Not only is Tony a very experienced and a fantastic tour guide, I never felt rushed and felt like I had time to enjoy every moment, this included hiking through tea gardens, taking photos at scenic locations and visiting the post office, where Tony helped me buy the right stamps to post home postcards! Thank you Tony for a great day!
We had a great day with Rohan! He is a very good driver and showed us great places and gave us exciting information. Rohan is a very loving and pleasant guide - gladly again!
Rohan was simply excellent. His whole focus was ensuring that we were getting full enjoyment from the trip. He also tailored the journey to our needs. Furthermore, he provided excellent advice about other opportunities in the area. Thank you Rohan. The communication from the travel company was also very good. A long but, enjoyable day.
did this day trip with rohan. he has been really caring and helpful. tailored to my needs. one thing not ideal is they take you to 2 shops before heading to nuwara, which was not written clearly in the agenda. and the tea factory visited is not blue field as it written. but overall pleasant experience. again my guide is good, highly recommend
Our driver was Rohan he was very nice, he drove really careful and very well. I can recommend him to anyone. The tour itself was beutiful, informative and overall amazing.
I was traveling alone and looking for a round trip tour from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, but there was no big bus tour, only a private tour. What’s more, the rental price for a car is well over 10,000 yen, so I was about to give up when I saw this one-man tour in Tsuk Tsuk. The price was reasonable, and the Tsuk-Tsuk driver guided me to park where I wanted to, allowing me to take pictures and travel freely. It's tropical, so it's nice to take a drive with the wind blowing in Tsukutsu. It was very good.
