Kakadu Day Tour from Darwin with Offroad Dreaming

Description
Experience the World Heritage Kakadu National Park on this interactive day tour from Darwin. On this small group Kakadu day tour, your Offroad Dreaming Guide will interpret for you, the Ancient Artworks at the Ubirr Rock Art Sites, spend time with the Artworks at ground level, or climb to the top to view the 360' lookout over the Wetlands from the Nadab lookout, join the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River, to hear about the history and culture of the people and the land and take up their invitation for a step into Arnhem Land, where there will be a cultural demonstration. Your professional guide will take you through the day, sharing with you knowledge and stories as you go. During March and April, we will revert to our equally in depth wet season itinerary for the Kakadu Day Tour. This will include visiting the Rock Art Galleries at Burrungkuy, Nourlangie Rock, instead of Ubirr and we will take the Yellow Waters Billabong Cruise instead of the Guluyambi Cruise.

I went on the Kakadu day tour with Offroad Dreaming, our guide Neville was excellent. He gave us so much information about the history of Darwin, and of Kadadu including both the early colonial explorers and the traditional owners of the land. He had an impressive knowledge of the animals and plants in the area. I would definately recommend Offroad Dreaming to anyone wanted to take atour to this area.
We recently joined the Daydream Kakadu Day Tour, and it was a wonderful experience overall. Our tour guide, Neville, was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable and experienced when it came to Kakadu National Park, explaining the history, wildlife, and cultural significance of the area in great detail. He patiently answered all our questions and was a very gentle and pleasant gentleman to spend the day with. The only slight disappointment was the Arnhem Land component of the tour. We had expected to be taken into Arnhem Land to meet Indigenous people and learn more about their culture firsthand. While this part did not quite meet our expectations, it did not take away from the overall enjoyment of the trip. The day was very well organized, with lovely snacks and a delicious lunch provided in the beautiful surroundings of the park. The scenery, the experience, and Neville’s excellent guiding made for a memorable day. We would most definitely recommend the Daydream Kakadu Day Tour to anyone wanting to explore Kakadu and learn about this incredible part of Australia.
Very informative and learnt a lot. The whole day was fantastic. Our driver Norm was brilliant and the food supplied was great (a big thank you to those who put it together- Norm did say it wasn’t him). Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. The two young indigenous men Hilton and Tyrone who were at the site where we set off on our small cruise were happy to answer any questions you had.
This long day tour was full of information and stories about Kakadu and the great NT. Excellent tour leader.
This trip was just wonderful. The guides, Neville and his sidekick Ian, were the best. The Kakadu sites we visted were very special, and the chance to visit Aborginal lands and see rock art, and also crocs was fantastic. Thank you to the team.
The tour of Kakadu National Park was very memorable. The guide Nev, was very informative and the whole trip very well coordinated.
I had an amazing experience visiting Kakadu NP with Offroad Dreaming. Our guide Neville had a wealth of knowledge and you could really feel his passion and love for the area. I learnt a lot about aboriginal culture and the communities living in the region. Neville was always respectful and made a point of acknowledging the Traditional Owners throughout the tour. One of the highlights was a boat trip with a local guide who gave us permission to walk onto Arnhem Land, which felt like a truly special privilege and experience. The lunch and snacks provided were delicious. The itinerary struck a great balance — we saw enough to get a real sense of the scale and beauty of Kakadu in a day without ever feeling rushed. I’d highly recommend booking a tour with this company.
This is a long day but definitely worth doing. The tour to Ubirr within Kakadu National Park has historical rock art, magnificent views from the top of UBIRR Rock climb, along with an interesting locally guided Alligator River Cruise. Our tour guide who was also the driver excellent his knowledge, was amazing. A lovely fresh lunch provided with several short stops en route to and on the return journey .The views from the top of UBIRR rocky outcrop were unbelievable and well worth the effort to climb up to see. The aboriginal rock art without a doubt the best I have seen and extensive. This day truly worth the early morning start and not to be missed when visiting Darwin Highly recommend this tour which will not be forgotten. Fabulous photo shots everywhere.
Great Tour, Neville our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Lots of stops to stretch legs. Lunch and snacks supplied were great.
Wow!! This was an absolutely amazing experience. Although it was a long day, it was worth every second! Norm was an excellent driver and guide- I really don’t know how he stores all that information in his head! My travel partner and I very much appreciated being given the personalised experience and highly recommend this company for their knowledge, friendliness, deep respect for this land and It’s people and overall dedication to excellence.
