As we navigate the history, traditions and landmarks of South America’s largest community, we’ll explore the neighborhoods of Once, Tribunales and Retiro. We’ll go beyond tradition as we explore how politics and the broad history of Argentina shaped the Argentine Jewish Identity. This tour includes a private born-and-raised Argentine Jewish guide, private car with driver and tickets to the Libertad Synagogue, Paso Synagogue and the Jewish Museum. We will visit the Jewish Museum where we'll discuss the great immigration of the late 1800s
We'll visit the Libertad Synagogue, and the mother institution of Jewish life in Argentina, AMIA. We'll explore the Jewish neighborhood of Once, as well as Tribunales and Retiro.

48 hours before the tour I was contacted by the tour operator to move the tour 30 minutes earlier so we could get into the synagogue/museum. The morning of the tour, we were waiting for our tour guide in the lobby our hotel and our tour guide was also in the lobby of the hotel, but she never inquired whether anyone was waiting for a tour. When we finally met up we had lost the first 15 minutes of the tour. Once we met Julia she was great and very knowledgeable. When we arrived at the Synagogue/museum, we were told that we needed to wait 30 minutes for the site to open. Julia was very quick to improvise and use the time to take us to the Opera House and share history of the area around the Synagogue. We also walked the streets of the Jewish quarter and had a snack from a Jewish baker/market.
It was wonderful from beginning to end. We learned so much about Jewish history in Argentina. Our tour guide was wonderful: friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We loved the stop for a snack, the Libertad Synagogue and hearing about the various issues affecting the Jewish community.

We had a fabulous tour with Fernando. Such a lovely accomplished young man. We were in a comfortable van- private- just the 4 of us in our group. We felt that we got the flavor of the community and a good history lesson. Delicious snacks were a treat
