We had such a wonderful time learning about Jamón with Joy. She was informative, had fun “quess the answer” interaction, and made the class fun and engaging.
Absolutely amazing experience. Joy was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The jamón was delicious and paired with cava and wine. You will not leave hungry or thirsty!
This was excellent, delicious, and so much FUN — all rolled into one unforgettable experience! Our Master Teacher Joy truly lived up to her name — she was radiant, knowledgeable, and brought such warmth and JOY to the entire class. She guided us through a tasting of seven different types of Jamón, explaining the subtle differences in flavor, texture, and quality. We also had the pleasure of tasting Cava, white wine, red wine, and some delightful little bites that paired beautifully with the meats. The setting is just around the corner from the Sagrada Familia, surrounded by shops and restaurants — a beautiful and quaint shop where you can purchase all things Jamón and Cheese. ✨ Highly recommended — a MUST when visiting Barcelona! ✨

Joy was such a joy for our jamon tasting. We walked away learning a tremendous amount we didn’t know or realize before and have a deeper appreciation now for Iberico jamon and what to look and ask for when we’re back in the US. The portion of meat and wines was substantial and was our lunch.

We tried several different Jambon, starting with the least expensive to a very high priced one. Each was explained by Diego very well and the amount served was generous. We cannot import to the USA but wish I could. It was a fun evening. Diego was a great teacher.

Diego walked us through the different meats and was fun and engaging, even for my wife who isn't a fan of pork. Diego's passion was infectious and engaging, and we had a great time! It felt like a chat with an old friend as much as an educational experience. It was probably the most fun thing we did in Barcelona!

You need to try this unique experience – ample amounts, seven different varieties of jamon Enrique Tomas is a purveyor of fine Iberico jamon(ham) throughout Spain. This location served the platters and sandwiches as most of their locations serve. This location just up from the Sagrada Familia offers a master class in understanding and tasting this wonderful Spanish delicacy. Diego, the instructor is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He enjoys his craft so much so that although he is Italian he likes the Spanish ham better than Italian prosciutto. We were served seven different varieties or grades of jamon. With each one, you learn the parentage, diet and climate that determines the nuances of the aromas, consistency and flavors. There were ample amounts to allow sampling and comparing side by side. The hams are on display around the room and Diego shows the differences in appearances so they you can tell them apart. Cava (sparkling wine) or red wine is served to complement the ham as well as cleanse the palate. A complete immersion in culture and taste. Wonderful and highly recommended.
