Ivan Bahia Guide offers a unique & flexible experience ! in a comfortable 4x4 SUV - with fully covid-19 vaccinated driver - We go off the beaten tourist-tracks, oriented to your cultural intrests. You'll meet with locals and their daily activities, you can participate, for example make your own luxury gift cigar (optional) Our aim is to show you the real Bahia (not only what traditional tourist guides 'want' to show you). We take you ALSO to uncharted places, events, people. Besides a visit to some historical must see places (the revolution to actual Brazil started in Cachoeira in 1822) we'll concentrate more on typical local meetings. There is the Dannemann luxury cigar factory, eventually you might also choose for the more traditional cigar factory Leite Alvis. We go a little further inlands to Coqueiros where you'll meet with artisan ceramists & fishermen. You can even have a boat-tour along the Paraguaçu mangroves (optional)

IMPORTANT OBSERVATION : this tour is inclusive pick-up ONLY in SALVADOR city (reaching until the International Airport). This was a fantastic day full of wonder and interest. After a very interesting tour of cigar factory, the potters village and lunch by the river we headed into Cochiera. What an amazing place and not really possible as non Portuguese speakers. The glory of old South America was on show with spectacular churches, convent and brothel! A day to saviour for a long time and surly the highlight of our trip. PS Ivan also showed us round Salvador for the day. Really excellent day of history and culture. Can’t recommend Ivan more highly.
A huge thank you to Iwan for these 3 days in the "real" Bahia! It was a real immersion in the culture of Bahía off the beaten track and tourist where we could meet beautiful people and taste cachaça at "pé da vaca" and a delicious feijão mock (yes, yes, excellent besides)...among others! 3rd experience with Iwan (Chapada Diamantina and Imbassaí) and not the last! PS: "Any resemblance to people who didn't exist or fictional, like Great Turtle, is purely fortuitous" 😂👍
