No Safari to Africa can ever be complete without experiencing a Night Drive Safari. This 3 Hour Safari into the Western Shores of iSimangaliso Wetland Park takes you deep into the bush. Go in search of nocturnal wildlife and hear the bush come alive. A night drive is completely different from any other type of day safari, to say the least, it's quite incredible. Go in search of Leopard, Hippos, Buffalo, Elephants, Giraffe, Rhino, Cameleons and truly so much more awaits your visit. One of only two concession holders so why not enjoy this magnificent Park to yourself at night.

Our tour got off to a great start with Helen Mitchell's arrangements but then Sakhile blew us away with his knowledge of the the African bush and it's creatures on an overcast night. Identifying animals by the glow of their eyes in the spotlight was remarkable in its own right, but spotting two different chameleon species in bushes at different locations a few kilometers apart was quite incredulous. The one, the Dwarf Chameleon, does not get bigger than 5 cm. Our one was smaller than that. The other one, green in color, he spotted as it looked like a dry leaf. in the shrub. I can strongly recommend this tour.

Our night drive with Sakhile of Heritage was incredible. He is knowledgeable and at the same time humorous and fun. Besides the bigger and more obvious zebra, hippo and various buck he found us tiny chameleons, hyenas and servals that would have almost certainly been missed if not for his eagle eyes. An absolutely wonderful experience and would highly recommend Sakhile as a guide if you get the chance. Helen Mitchell was really helpful in the office when booking us onto the drive too. A real pleasure to go on a night game drive with Heritage Safaris.

It was such an amazing experience at this night safari, our guide Sakile (he told us it was like Shakira lol) was absolutely the best, really experienced, we not only saw big animals but small amazing ones. The stars gave us a a spectacle and we had tea and coffee learning about the African way of life.

The tour was a bit slow on animals and the guide let us know that before hand but we still saw a decent amount of animals and the guide was amazing

We had booked a night tour and from the moment the guide picked us up we enjoyed all his knowledge. He has told us a lot of information and showed us the most amazing animals you will not encounter during the day. We would definitely book this tour again, we would not have missed this!!

We had three tours with Heritage Tours. Communication with Helen was perfect! Early in the morning, in the evening, she was always there for us. Boat tour is awesome, full day Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve is awesome with breakfast and lunch in the reserve. Sifiso was our guide, he was brilliant. And the night drive with Sakhile, you just don't wanna miss out on that experience! Hippo, elephants and hyena to name just a few! So just book with Heritage Tours, they are the best!

We did an evening tour with our family (children aged 17, 15 and 14) and this was a very nice and special experience. We were neatly picked up at our accommodation and drove together with the ranger into the bush. With large lamps he searched the area and soon we saw hippos, wildebeest, zebras, impalas and even bushbabies. A highlight was the small chameleon that the ranger discovered from the car – we were even allowed to let him walk on our hand for a while. Halfway there was a short stop with coffee, tea and a muffin under the stars. ✨ Since we had already done several safaris during the day, this really felt like a perfect addition. It gives a completely different experience of the bush and the animals in their nocturnal habitat.

We had a very successful evening thanks to our wonderful guide. He had a good eye for the small animals and told everything in a nice way. The short lesson on the local language was a nice addition.
