Influential Toledo & Bookish Consuegra, Full Day Tour from Madrid

Description
«In a village of La Mancha, the name of which I have no desire to call to mind, there lived not long since one of those gentlemen that keep a lance in the lance-rack, an old buckler, a lean hack, and a greyhound for coursing» would be the beginning of 'Don Quixote de La Mancha' written by Miguel de Cervantes in 1605, considered the best-selling book in the history of literature. These two places will make you discover the hidden jewels of the most ancient Spain!

Itinerary
The place where the story takes place in the book, is just what this tour offers: first Consuegra, with its landscape, its windmills, its panoramic view, its castle and its history.
Toledo - the first capital of Castile, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive monumental and cultural heritage. Its labyrinthine streets take you back to the time of the Knights Templar; its shop windows with their sabers, swords and knives make you live these feats; not to mention the local sweets, cheeses or hams.
We will get to know the Jewish neighborhood of Toledo and we will understand how to recognize it through techniques. In this neighborhood there is a Guinness record that we will discover.
We will enter the library of the Alcazar de Toledo to get a surprise. What will it be?
We will talk a little about the history of the square, the history of Toledo and also what we see around.
We will enter the second most important temple of Christianity: the cathedral of Toledo. In here, there are so many things to talk about and see...
You can try marzipan, have a coffee or go shopping.

Jorge was amazing. We learned so much and he was so knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Best tour guide ever!
The tour of Consuegra with Georgi . Also the view of Toledo from the Parador. It gave us a visual of the areas we toured. Also was very pleased to have Georgi as our guide
The tour was canceled on me 24 hours before departure without providing a reason for the cancelation. I would not recommend reserving this tour as I have also tried to call the tour company in Spain and they don't answer the phone.
Medical concern was the reason for the cancelation. You are trying to call the company which is one person in hospital without having phone or good health. Thanks for the review - it does not hurt.
Guide knew all the history behind all the sites. Very kind and professional. He made sure that the tour was catered to my group. And he showed us wonderful food recommendations.
Georgi is a very personable and busy guide who gets to know his clients and what interests them. We spoke throughout the tour and Georgi clearly prepares, studies and shares a great deal if information, history, photos and trivia. He was a delightful guide and a joy to spend the afternoon with - very memorable!
The tour is superb especially, if you like to take a photo of all beautiful scenery and architecture and a plus if you really want to have an insight story of Toledo, secrets and surprises. Georgi is awesome and knowledgeable. Not only one part but all are memorable. Highly recommend.
Absolutely awesome experience. George was so knowledgeable and fun to be around with!! Highly recommend!
This tour exceeded my expectations. Out tour guide Giorge went above and beyond to make the tour an amazing experience for all my family. His expertise, excellent communication and coordination, as well as his knowledge and passion to share the amazing history of Toledo and Castilla made our vacation an amazing and memorable experience. I highly recommend it to all those that by traveling wants to live and experience what they have reed in books!
My private tour guide, Georgi Dianov Georgiev was upbeat, tons of energy, fun to being around, insightful, knowledgeable of the area and an excellent tour guide. Georgia made the history, art and the local culture come alive with this tour. We also had time for me to try paella a local food dish. Georgi provided hotel pick-up, wore his tour guide badge and confirmed my tour reservation. He was flexible to accommodate my interests. Excellent driver and his vehicle was immaculate. He speaks a few languages. English was excellent. He is also an author of 3 books! Inquire about other tours that he offers while you are in Madrid. Georgi gives outstanding service. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe with him. During my tour, I was with a friend more than with a tour guide. If you need a guide with private transportation, book your tour with Georgi.
Georgi Dianov picked up our group of 7 in front of our hotel, then we headed toward Consuegra (Don Quixote and the Windmills). Georgi quizzed us about many subjects on our drive, handing out points to whoever got the correct answer, so much fun. Georgi was extremely knowledgeable (he has a PhD from Cambridge) about Consuegra and multiple subjects, really the best guide we have ever had and we have traveled to France, the UK, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Argentina. Georgi was thoughtful, funny, kind, easy to understand and answer any question we had. Then we headed to Toledo and walked up and down the streets, visiting the Cathedral and the best Marzipan Shop. Another day we had a tour of the Prado Museum in Madrid which was unbelievable. Georgi pointed out techniques of the painter/painting, something we had never experienced before, making them come alive! Georgi was truly amazing and our time with him was unforgettable!
