Inca Trail 4-Day Trek to Machu Picchu – Return by Vistadome Train

The Inca Trail was a great experience that we enjoyed with family. The scenery was stunning, the historic sites incredible and the Alpaca Expeditions team were fantastic. The work ethic of the porters was amazing. Our guide Raul provided sound leadership and information throughout the 4 days hike. I certainly recommend doing this hike if you have the opportunity.

Our Inca Trail experience was absolutely unforgettable and exceeded every expectation. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and every member of the team made us feel safe, welcome, and motivated throughout the trek. A huge thank you to our main guide, Berny, who was outstanding. His knowledge of Inca history, culture, and nature was incredible, and he shared it with so much passion and enthusiasm. He always made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable, encouraged, and supported, especially during the more challenging parts of the hike. Marco, our assistant guide, was equally fantastic. He was always there when someone needed help, constantly smiling, and brought such positive energy to the group. His kindness and dedication did not go unnoticed. And finally, Alex, our chef, completely amazed us. It is hard to believe that such delicious, varied, and beautifully presented meals can be prepared in the mountains. Every meal was a highlight of the day, and we looked forward to it after every hike. Thank you to the entire team for creating memories that will stay with us forever. If you’re thinking about hiking the Inca Trail, don’t hesitate—this team is simply the best. I would recommend them to anyone without a second thought. Five stars are not enough!

We did the Inca Trail with a bunch of friends with the guide Rodrigo Gutiérrez and i can’t recomend it enought. The guide explained everything thoroughly and created a great atmosphere with the whole group. He made sure during the whole trip that everyone was feeling good and without any problems. He made is feel safe and confortable during our trip. Again, i cant recomend enough this trip with an excelent guide.

We had an absolutely incredible 4 days, with our guides Bernie and Roger making it truly unforgettable. We were amazingly looked after by both our guides, porters and wonderful chef, I don’t think I could recommend anything more to anyone.

Alpaca Expeditions gave our group a phenomenal once in a lifetime experience! We had Brendan as our guide and Maximo as our chef and they were exceptional. Brendan taught us so many fascinating facts about the Inca culture, answered all our questions and made us feel very safe during our trek through the Andes. Brendan, we miss you already! Chef Maximo created incredible meals that surprised and delighted us every day. He made us banana flambé-yes, flambé! - for dessert on our second night and somehow made us a congratulatory cake while we were in the middle of the Andes on our last night! Maximo, you are amazing! Many thanks to both of you for this incredible experience. I highly recommend Alpaca Expeditions with Brendan as your guide and Maximo as your chef. You will not be disappointed! My adult son wants to do the hike again with friends who were not able to join us this trip and he said he will definitely book with Alpaca Expeditions every time. Five stars all the way!

They make an excellent professional team which you can count on during the memorable hike! Bernie the lead tour guide is so well organized and clearly communicated the daily schedule and what to expect. Bernie is knowledgeable and passionate about Inca history and made learning about his Inca culture and ruins fun and interesting. Marcos supported activities and Chef Alex made delicious, healthy, creative 5 star meals and even made a special cake to celebrate a honeymoon and anniversary couple. The porters carried the camping gear, set up camp, tents, dining, clean water and more behind the scenes. This experience has become a wonderful lifetime memory for me thanks to the exceptional leadership, hospitality and humor of Bernie!!, Marcos! and Chef Alex!…the best team for the 4 day Inca tour!!!
