Itinerary

Admission not included120 min

Explore the Brazilian side of the breathtaking Iguazu Falls by land and boat on this exhilarating excursion. Snap photos from postcard-perfect viewpoints and listen to intriguing info about the local ecology. This incredible tour offers an unforgettable view formed by the immense group of waterfalls of Foz do Iguaçu. Once inside the park, the van or bus will drive until you reach the trails and walkways that face the falls. We will walk from 40 minutes to 1 hour on the trails and walkways facing the falls on the Brazilian side and with panoramic views of the Argentine side.

Admission included20 min

The adventure begins at the entrance to the Macuco Safari, located 25 kilometer down Cataratas Highway inside Iguassu National Park. Board open jeep-towed wagons that allow for an unobstructed view of the scenery along the trail. During the stretch of three kilometers through the jungle, multi-lingual guides will point out examples of the flora and fauna of the Park. Orchids, palm trees, bromeliads, centenarian trees, and even wild animals that occasionally cross the trail are pointed out by the guides.

Admission not included100 min

On a stretch of 600 meters, there is a hike on a trail that leads to a waterfall called "Macuco Falls". The waterfall spills down from a height of approximately 20 meters. Access is via a stairway carved into the ancient rock. Make your way down on a short drive on an open-top jeep to reach the last stop, the docks on the Brazilian side of Iguassu River. In the water, inflatable bi-motor boats await us. They´re constructed to withstand the rigors of the excursion, as well as being secure and efficient vessels. Before embarkation, passengers receive life-vests and plastic containers in which to protect photographic and filming equipment. The boat travels up-river passing the canyon facing the rapids at a speed that allows for scenic viewing. Rainbows, blue sky, mist and water in abundance punctuate the spectacle whose high-point is the "The Three Musketeers". Here the captain maneuvers the boat in order to get close enough to provide the passengers with a quick and refreshing shower.

Waterfalls and more waterfalls

Experience the hour vei! The whole tour was very special, we started on a trail that we walked for a while and our, had many waterfalls for us to be admired and some top places to take photos. Also after having known the waterfalls by visa we had the opportunity to meet them by boat. Our boat pilot said we were going to take a bath, spoiler, he put us right under the waterfall to be wet kkk. After all, it was a very differentiated experience and I recommend it to anyone who likes waterfalls!

Don’t miss thisvtour

I had a great guide. She was willing to work with me regarding a change of plans. She was very genuine and nice. The boat ride was amazing. We did donuts in the river and then got very close to the falls. You do get Wet. The falls are so powerful and loud. They are magnificent!

A breathtaking visit!

This is one of the most stunning things I have experienced! It was rainy the day we went, but it didn't damper our experience! The falls are breath taking! You will do some walking! You get an amazing look at the falls. We could see people on the Argentina side. From what my friend (who is Argentinian) told me, the best views are on the Brazilian side. The boat ride was thrilling! Now you can buy a poncho to try and keep you dry...but that may be an illusion! LOL We got drenched! I did put my passport, wallet and phone in ziplock bag before hand...that was wise! I was really surprised at the amount of wind coming off one of the falls. When walking to the boats, you need to watch your step on the rocks, but it's fairly easy to navigate. I'd love to see the falls on a sunny day sometime! Highly recommend this!

Worth the trip but don't have high expectations.

The falls were fantastic. Beyond imagination. I highly recommend it. The boat ride was less than expected. Very short, maybe 20 minutes and didn't get close to the major falls. Not close enough for good pics. We just went up close to a really small water fall, about 3 meters wide, to get wet. Jungle ride was short and not very interesting either.

Operator response

Dear John. thank you for your feedback! We are glad that you enjoyed the Tour. Falls are indeed fantastic and unforgetable. This period , we are going through a drought and this directly influences the tour as to the allowed proximity of the falls thank you and count with us for your future travels

Macucu , Iguassi falls combo tours, Off road jungle Drive, Hike and water falls boat ride

Totally unorganized, no one spoke two words of English, way over priced, Jungle Drive is a windy little road you take electric bus to, Hike is leas than five minutes to trash the boat duck. If you take just a boat ride for about $60 less, they have to take you the same route, there isn’t e Off-Road or a hike for that matter, don’t waste your money, if you have to take the ten minutes boat ride, just do that only no need to give them extra $60 for nothing absolutely not worth it, tried to reach someone to speak, they don’t answer the phone if and when they do they hang up the minute they hear English speaking, quite a disappointment and waste of time and money

The boatride is the topper of the combi

There is much to do around the falls. Absolute must is the helicopter flight from the Brazilian side (costs 115 dollars). On the argentine side, it is smart to get there early and be the first to ride the train to the end point and visit the "devil's hole" before the throngs of tourists arrive. Then you go against the current at ease via the falls to the second must-do: sailing into the waterfall by boat. Of course, put all your stuff in a waterproof barrel and only keep your swimming trunks on. Then you sail a bit over the river between the falls and then you get on a truch for a jungle ride. The boat ride you have to do, the other parts are not spectacular.

Macuco Safari - was breathtaking!

When visiting the Iguaçu PR Falls, do not miss the Macuco Safari tour. It is a safe and exciting boat ride. For those who like adventure better do this walk "wet", that is, the one that the boat passes under one of the waterfalls. It's a pretty expensive attraction but it was worth it. Don't forget to take a change of clothes for the wet walk.
