I took this tour as a solo woman while my husband worked in Hyderabad. It was a fantastic experience from the very moment I was picked up by their safe and polite driver Ramesh who navigated busy Hyderabad traffic beautifully and would also point out interesting sights to me from the car. Once the tour started with my guide I was taken on a wonderfully interesting historical journey through Hyderabad's Old City and as I am a history nerd, I really appreciated that my guide took the time to make that the focus. The atmosphere of the tour was energizing and I really appreciated that my guide handled situations where locals wanted to take my photo or try to sell me trinkets. It meant that I didn't need to feel guilty saying no and wasn't overwhelmed by vendors. The atmosphere Old City was vibrant and the Indo-Islamic architecture of the Charminar and various mosques was stunning both from an intricate artistic view and with elements of engineering interest. The length of time of this tour was great and it really allowed me to visit an area of the city that I would have felt intimidated to do on my own while providing me with rich historical context to the places I was visiting. I enjoyed my experience so much that I hired Hyderabad Heritage Tours directly for a custom visit to the Golconda Fort. It was the first time that my husband was out of the office and could sightsee. We went to the Qutub Shahi Tombs, Golconda Fort and then swung past the Charminar again so that my husband could experience it. Al the while our driver, Ramesh, kept our suitcases safe in the car before driving us to the airport where we were on time to catch our flight. I absolutely recommend this tour and tour group for your next visit to Hyderabad.
I went on this tour as a solo woman while my husband was working. It was a wonderful tour where I felt very safe. I was picked up and dropped off directly at my hotel and the driver was polite and a safely navigated through the busy and chaotic traffic of Hyderabad. While on the tour I learned so much about Hyderabad and Indian history. I could tell that the guide was knowledgable and passionate about history. I absolutely recommend this tour.
This was a very knowledgeable and engaging tour. We got picked up in comfortable car from our hotel and our driver, Hari, was smooth and engaging during our transport. He was telling us about some of the local attraction sites on the distance as we were making our way to our destination. We were then greeted by our guide Ramana who very graciously assisted us with road crossing during busy traffic and told us very interesting facts about the artractions. He brought us covered areas so we would be under the shade and slightly away from busy crowds so he could explain the history of the site. He was very knowledge about the history of Hyderabad. Overall, this tour is highly recommended if you would like a tour of the bug attractions of Hyderabad without taking up a full day.
We recommend this tour in old city walking tour, value for the money and cost of the tour quite economical with guide and entry fee. One can experience the old city culture in these 03-04 hours walk, it's a multicultural in Hyderabad with hindu, islam combination. Thanks to Guide Rajendra for knowledge on the multicultural walking tour in old city and Driver Shashi for taking us the places.
for this tour we would highly recommend mr ramana . he made sure to show us all the sites, explained the deep history and culture behind them and made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. He made our day very memorable and took amazing photos of us and the sites. He also encourages us to try out experiences in and around the areas we went to. We enjoyed the tour with him so much that we booked him for another tour to Salar Jung museum and the Nizams Museum.
Mr Matta was unavailable but seamlessly arranged for his colleague Mr Ramana to lead my private tour. Mr Ramana was very thoughtful from the start, adjusting my time slot to ensure I wouldn't be overwhelmed by the sun. He took care of every detail—from entry fees to buying water—and kept a close eye on me while we navigated the busy Old Center. I wasn't sure if I should book a tour at first, but as a young female solo traveler, I’m VERY glad I did. Being with a local made the whole experience much more relaxed (especially given how crowded it gets!), and I learned so much about Hyderabad, Telangana, and Indian culture through our conversations. At the end of our tour, data signal was failing, and Mr Ramana was kind enough to call a friend to book a ride for me so I made it back safely. I highly recommend the tour for anyone looking for a deep dive into the city and its culture.
Mr Matta, our tour guide, was the best guide we have ever met! He is extremely knowledgeable and competent, and he guided us on our exploration of the fascinating Hyderabad, sharing countless historical anecdotes in a very thorough and professional manner. His passion for Indian history and culture shines through in his words and is really captivating. In addition to showing us the city’s architectural and artistic treasures, Mr Matta took us to explore some local markets where the vibrant heart of Hyderabad beats. Moreover, Mr Matta’s boundless kindness and contagious smile made our memories of Hyderabad even more special!
I had a lovely time exploring the old city and history of Hyderabad with Mr Matta tour. I highly recommend anyone to do this tour even if you have limited time in Hyderabad like me during my business trip as it'll help you appreciate how India and the city of HYD became what it is today and how history influenced its present culture.
