Itinerary
Our tour guide will pick you up in your hotel (city cented) to the bikes, and start cycling about 5km along perfume river to get to Thien Mu Pagoda located on the north shore of the Perfume River. Thien Mu Pagoda is regarded as the unofficial symbol of the former imperial capital. Today it is the home of the Austin Motor Vehicle which drove Thich Quang Duc to his self-immolation in Saigon in 1963 in protest against the Diem regime. It is still home to many monks and a holy site visited by many everyday.
We take dragon boat cruise in Perfume River (Hương River), that originates from the Truong Son Dong mountain range. The main stream is Ta Trach with a length of 67km, originating from the Truong Son Dong range, along the Bach Ma area to the northwest, through Nam Dong town. Then it merges with Huu Trach stream with a length of 60km in the North through Bang Lang junction. At the place where these two streams meet to form the Perfume River.
Minh Mang Tomb is famous for landscape and Oriental Architecture. This tomb was planned and started by Minh Mang but built by his successor - King Thieu Tri, from begining of 1841 until 1843.
This is the smallest tomb (48.5X117m) of the Nguyen Emperors, but took the longest time and cost a lot of money to build. This is only tomb of the Nguyen's Kings with blended architecture of Vietnamese and Western style. This is also the only tomb of the Nguyen's Kings we know exactly where King was buried.
Tomb of King Tu Duc was built by himself from 1864 - 1867. This was also place where King Tu Duc sometimes lived and worked when he was still alive. Tomb's area is about 12 Hecta including 2 seperated areas: Temple area and Burial area. Then climb back on the bike to cycling back to city center, and finish our fantastic HueTombs Tour by Bike and Boat.
After sightseeing day trip, our tour guide/driver can drop you off in Hue Imperial City, you can buy entry ticket for your own discovery of the area. Or we can drop you back to your hotel in city center. And we finish our fantastic Hue City Day Tour.

A great history lesson with intriguing tidbits of kept secrets I’ve never learned over the internet searches alone. The guide was very informative and worked so hard in the sweltering summer heat. A great experience.
Extremely professional and informative. Hung speaks excellent English and knows a lot about the fascinating history, occupations and conflicts that were going on when the pagodas and tombs were built. The three tombs we visited were remarkable and each portraying a different aspect of the Nguyen dynasty. He is also very skilled at navigating traffic (although the traffic in Hue is not really a concern.) Reassuring to have Mr Hue following on a scooter in case of breakdowns or other needs. The boat trip part of the day was also a great addition, providing lovely views of the scenery and features. Meals, drinks and entrance fees are not included, so you can be flexible about what you have for lunch and which tombs you want to see, although you really should do all three on offer. Water is supplied although I suggest you take your refillable bottle as there are several refill stations en route. Overall, highly recommended.
Cycling along perfume river to tombs and then ride on a dragon boat to more tombs and cycle back. I am not a confident cyclist and was unsure at first but really enjoyed it. Some hills to peddle up in the way back
We had a brilliant trip with Hung. Such a well organised trip. We felt so safe with Hung at the front, and his colleague, Khue, at the back. Great information from Hung - we learnt such a lot about Vietnamese culture and history. Thanks for such a great trip.

We would like to thank Trang for changing our schedule twice due to a delay with our flights… so much flexibility was highly appreciated🙏 Then a big thank you to our lovely tour guide Nhien. She gave us so much interesting information about Hue and the Vietnamese culture… additionally she adjusted the tour to our wishes making it an absolutely fantastic experience!! We can really recommend this agency and particularly Nhien. Thank you 😊
Hung led us on a great bike tour. He and his mechanic that assisted ensured we felt safe with various road crossings and he provided lots of knowledge about the emperors and the tomb we visited. We decided to cut our tour short due to rain and Hung was very accommodating. If you like to bike and the weather is good I think this is a nice way to get out of the city a bit.
A great trip. Danny was an excellent guide, informative and friendly. Bikes were simple but more than adequate for the easy cycling on roads and paths. Fairly short amount of road cycling and traffic nothing like in Hanoi. Boat trip was relaxing, they will try to sell souvenirs etc on board but a simple no thank you is enough. Danny was flexible and realised it was easier to cycle back to our out of town hotel at the end rather than taking boat back to town and then taxi to our hotel.
My husband and I had the greatest day with Hung biking around Hue! The tour is very organized. Hung is very knowledgeable and he taught us so much history of Vietnam and Hue. It was a very hot day but we always had plenty of water and the breeze from biking and on the Dragon boat was refreshing. I highly recommend booking this tour if you are in Hue!
Hung was absolutely amazing. Great guide, very informative and excellent English. Made the tour perfect despite the heat.
