Our Cappadocia hot air balloon tours take place in Göreme, Cappadocia, at sunrise over beautiful Love Valley. You will fly alongside more than a hundred hot air balloons, with a stunning view of fairy chimneys, unusual rock formations, cave dwellings, and the beautiful landscape of Cappadocia. Before the flight, you will be served a light breakfast, and after a successful landing, we will celebrate your flight with champagne as you receive your flight certificate. After that, you will be dropped off at your hotel again.

I always book my activities on Viator ahead of time so that I am well-prepared and have peace of mind. My trip is this April and I booked this hot air balloon ride back on December 1. Beginning of April, I get an email saying “ Reservation canceled Unfortunately, the tour operator for Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise in Goreme, Cappadocia had to cancel your reservation.” I called Viator to see why and they said the operator did not provide a cancellation reasoning. My prediction is that operator was optimizing their profits because I booked for $594 and after operator cancelled, the tour was $907. I would have to rebook at an increase of $312!!! I advocated to Viator customer service to have it rebooked for me with the original price in the form of a $312 refund and it was done. Viator should not allow operators to cancel without valid reason other than greed. If you do decide to book with this operator, just know their tour runs late. Most balloons were already in the air for a long time and we only started going up after sunrise.

I would not recommend to book with Tourla for the hot air balloon. We had booked a deluxe flight and we're downgraded to Standard. We had been refunded with the difference (which I think is less than the difference on the time of the booking) but the experience with this agency is a disappointment. We had booked a month in advance in order to get a deluxe flight. I suggest to take some screenshots when you make the reservation online so you have proof just in case. This was such an inconvenient situation and we had no choice but just to accept to have the standard flight as there was no other flights later during our stay. Other than that I must say the baloon experience itself was fantastic and the Rainbow balloons team are very professional, I would just recommend to fix the unstitched fabric part of the balloon, it would look better and reassure people who are afraid of heights.
