The tour wasn’t exactly what I was expecting from the itinerary brief. For example ‘ Explore the origins of Hong Kong as a fishing village ! Take a ride on a traditional "sampan" to see the lively floating community still in existence today’. I saw no evidence of any fishing village in existence. Just remains of old fishing boats amongst modern moored boats which lasted no more than 15 minutes. The Stanley Markets were underwhelming with basically a single laneway and struggled to fill the 45 allotted minutes. The highlight of the tour was Angela the tour guide who had great knowledge and enthusiasm.
Thank you for your comment Hong Kong's origins was a fishing village. Aberdeen is the only place still exist to see get the memory of the old days in Hong Kong. I am sorry to hear that you were not enjoy the sampan ride as it is NOT meet to your expectation. Apart from the market in Stanley, it has a riveria-like atmosphere with an open promenade, historic colonial-era building. Customer feedback is important to us. We will review our product component again in the coming future in order to fine tone our product. We hope we can extend our hospitality to you and your family in the coming future
Information about Hong Kong was interesting and Angela was very knowledgeable. Bus wasn’t comfortable and Stanley Market wasn’t special but otherwise an interesting day.
Thank you for joining our tour and spending time to write the comment us. I am surprised to hear that the bus was not comfortable as there were only 8 guests to join the tour on that day and we were using a 22-seater coach. For the Stanley market, if we just treat it as an open air market, it is not very special nowadays as there are similar markets e.g ladies market in the downtown. The reason why we still put Stanley in our itinerary as it has a riveria-like atmosphere, with an open promenade, street market and historic colonial-era building over there. Customers' feedback is important to us, we will review again the sightseeing points in the coming future. Thank you very much for your feedback.
