Hoi An Countryside Cycling Tour with basket boat & Lunch
Description
Pick-up from your hotels in Hoi An (1-5km from Hoi An Central)The tour begins with a bicycle ride along the Thu Bon River, where there is no noise from motorbikes, visit a fishing village more than 100 years.Then continue cycle around exploring the country roads at a peaceful pace to observe the locals. Cycling through the water coconut village with more than 7 hectares, stories related to the Vietnam War with many people's history. After that enjoy 45 minutes on the basket boat, and learn how to throw nets to catch fish, crabs. Then you continue cycling to the organic vegetable village. On the way, we will pass through rice fields, and share the difficulties during the harvest season. Admire water buffaloes, in the village, you will be guided on how to plant vegetables and how to use organic fertilizers. After visit a local family for fun & short cooking class ( Rice Pancake ) then you will enjoy lunch of local specialties. After lunch return the hotel to end the tour. ( about 16km )

We will learn how to catch fish here over hundreds years by local fishermen
Our guide will introduce the rice growing season and the steps in how to grow rice here, admire the countryside, see water buffalos, (rice fields will depend on the season)
We will learn how to make houses with water coconut leaves and bamboo, then will experience rowing basket boats on small canals for 45 minutes, during which time you will learn how to throw nets to catch fish and crabs on the river like local people, then the tour guide will share for you about how the Vietnam War happened here.
Here, the tour guide will introduce you to how people grow vegetables and use organic fertilizers, then you will smell and taste all the vegetables here. Local people are absolutely not allowed to use chemical fertilizers. This is the only vegetable village in Hoi An that provides vegetables for the whole city. Then you will have lunch here with traditional Hoi An dishes

Linh was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable, excellent English and enjoyed laughing with us. Looking after us was her priority. Was a lovely cycle through the fields and local village and great to see this part of Hoi An. The food for lunch was delicious and cooking the pancake a bit of fun.
An excellent experience. The guide and driver were super friendly an accommodating to our disabled son. The basket boat trip was a highlight and the pancake cooking class and lunch were delicious. The overall tour was great value for money.

What a day… brilliant. Everything we wanted, and more. Our guide Hoa or ‘Flower’ was excellent. She shared her knowledge, let us take our time, took photos and shared them with us, showed us things we were not expecting (like how sesame is grown) and was great fun. The basket boats, cooking and visit to the herb garden were great too, but ‘Flower’ made it more memorable. By the end of the tour she wasn’t our guide anymore, she was our friend.

We had the most amazing time on our bike tour. Good quality bikes and helmets. Our guide was very knowledgeable, kind and patient when our daughter started to get tired. The tour is mainly flat, so suitable for all levels of biking experience. The cooking lesson followed by lunch was delicious and lots of fun. I would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends. It was a great way to see and experience Hoi An.
