Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. It was the sight of the end of the Vietnam/American war in 1975, as a North Vietnamese army tank crashed through the gates. The tank is still located at the Independence Palaces’ property. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. In courtyard massive military vehicles are for exhibition as well as tiger cages for the visitor to get a feel on how it was to be a prisoner during wartimes. In the museum building itself, each floor will represent a separate theme from the war and the war crimes committed towards the Vietnamese people. End of services. I would like to thank the entire team at Horizon Travel (Kim Ngan and Linh) from the local agency in Hanoi who welcomed us with extreme kindness, our guide Bang and his driver for one week with extraordinary qualities and knowledge about his country, our guide Alice and her driver who welcomed us in the center of Hue for 2 and a half days, very kind, and finally Nhu, a young guide who was very attentive, calm, and knowledgeable, along with her driver who was always very considerate of me during 4 and a half days. Lastly, a special mention to our hotel Thanh Kieu in Phu Quoc, which was very nice and quiet in May. However, we could not swim in the sea as it was very rough and the weather was a bit cloudy (some showers), so we enjoyed their lovely pool. I recommend this local agency in Hanoi where you are truly taken care of 100% and everything was perfect. They check in on you regularly via WhatsApp, and everything went very well ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you to everyone (I almost forgot to say a little hello to Kent from the Swan Cruises boat on Ha Long Bay, very nice and with perfect English 😉)
Experiencing Vietnam rich culture!! Wish that I would have stayed longer as I have enjoyed myself. Hope to return back to Vietnam for another visit.
Excellent trip. There by speedboat and back by bus. Had an excellent guide t. Got to shoot 20 bullets from an m60 at a cost of 50 dollars. Lunch was chicken rice vegetables soup and spring rolls. Pay for the cola. Definitely recommend.
