Covered most of the attractions in Ho Chi Minh area in one day. Our guide James was very good and his English is good. He was very friendly and answered all our questions. I will definitely Recommend this tour for my friends and family.
Excellent day and very interesting! Your guide James was amazing!! Very informative and friendly!! Would highly recommend!!
Great experience, James was brilliant!! Very knowledgeable and friendly!! Tunnels were excellent and interesting!! Would highly recommend.
For those short on time in Ho Chi Min City this is a great option to cover the highlights. But... It is definitely a highlights package. If you want an in depth look at the sights covered, this is not for you. Personally I'd have preferred much more time at the War Remnants Museum and the Cui Chi Tunnels - these bits in particular felt extremely rushed to the point we were almost running through the Cui Chi Tunnels to see all the bits. Also be aware the traffic to get to the tunnels is no joke, so you need to decide if a 4 hour round trip is worth the 1 hour you will spend at the tunnels (I don't know if you do the tunnels as a stand alone you get longer there or if this is just the standard tour length.) This said I found the tour good value for money, the lunch that was included was epic, our guide was informative and the vehicle very comfortable. So I would still recommend this if short on time, but if you do have longer I'd break the site visits up on different days.
Thang was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable of Vietnam’s history and he deftly navigated us through ques so we didn’t have to wait in line. The Cu Chi tunnels is a must see. The gunfire in the firing range gives an all too real experience of what it must have been like during the war.
The Cu Chi Tunnels is historically significant. Would be a good tour for anyone interested in history. The tour requires a lot of walking through the jungle under hot weather. You need a bottle of water, comfortable shoes, a sun hat, and apply sunscreen. The tour operator gave guidance on what to expect. A knowledgeable English-speaking guide was provided. The guide was helpful and friendly. Delicious lunch was provided for the full day tour. The vehicle with A/C should have been bigger because there were five adult passengers plus the tour guide and the driver, for a total of seven people. A bigger minivan would have been more comfortable.
The guide James was very good at sharing knowledge and perspective while interested in others viewpoint. The day was very long between the three activities. They also advertised to go to the Cathedral which is closed for renovation. The should revise the description or let you know when booking that is not available.
The tour guide is good he can speak english…and he help us to drop off to other place. And we really enjoy. Thank u so much!.
What an amazing trip Marcus our guide and driver (apologies didn’t get name) picked us up from hotel in time in the morning covered pagoda palace and museum which is a definate must but be prepared for some harrowing upsetting photos and literature of this awful war. we had plenty of time at each stop To take in all The information and photo opportunities - Marcus was very knowledgable professional and funny . We stopped for lunch in a traditional family restaurant for about hour dishes were amazing Marcus left us to pick up some other guests before returning and making are way out of the city to the tunnels which was the highlight of the trip . An amazing insight into the genius network of tunnels and the Vietnamese resilience during the awful wartime years Would recommend booking this all day tour
Our guide, Thomas, collected us in the morning and a small group of us went to see the sites in Ho Chi Minh City. Thomas was a very informative English speaking guide and answered any questions that were asked of him. After checking out the sites we had a lovely Vietnamese lunch, with many dishes to try. At 12.15, we collected more travellers and started the 2nd part of our tour out to Cu chi tunnels. It took us approx 2.5hrs to get there with a pit stop. We ventured into the tunnels with a very informative Thomas leading the way. It was incredible to hear the details of the soldiers who lived in the tunnels. We checked out various tunnel entrances and were able to try to enter an original sized tunnel if we chose too. We were able to shoot weapons after paying a fee. It would have been nice to be able to take home your target but this was not to be. Before leaving for the trip back to Ho Chi Minh City we were able to enter a tunnel and travel underground for 10 m these tunnels were made for tourists so we did not have to crawl on our bellies as the soldiers did in wartime. We arrived home after another 2 1/2 hour trip and were delivered, safely to our hotels. The traffic today, was very intense and I’m glad that we were driven by a very experience driver. Thank you also to Ryan for assisting us today.
