Description

Step into 460 years of history on the most popular walking tour of St. Augustine. On this engaging small-group experience, explore America’s oldest city with a knowledgeable local guide who is part-historian and part-new friend and brings the streets, buildings, and stories to life. Discover how five different flags once flew above the Castillo de San Marcos and shaped the city’s unique past. Walk along the historic harbor, take in views of the oldest masonry fort in the United States, and explore the oldest grid street system in the country. Along the way, you’ll learn about the people who left their mark on St. Augustine, including Juan Ponce de León, Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, Henry Flagler, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Designed to orient you to the city, this tour gives you the context and confidence to explore St. Augustine on your own after the walk, and we also highlight our favorite spots to eat and drink along the way in the "Best Food Town in the South"!

Excellent Tour!

The tour with Amy was fantastic! She was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. She did a great job giving us chronological context and was able to answer all of our questions. It was also pretty hot and she was sensitive to that by getting us in the shade whenever possible. It felt like she really loved sharing her city.

Highly recommended!

Amy was an outstanding walking tour guide in St. Augustine! She is incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s rich history and has a real gift for storytelling that kept our whole group completely engaged from start to finish. She took us to the best spots and pointed out so many fascinating little details we would have completely missed on our own. Her passion for St. Augustine really shines through and made the experience so much more meaningful. Even in the blazing 100-degree heat, Amy was a total trooper — energetic, positive, and professional the entire time. This tour is the perfect way to truly get to know St. Augustine. Highly recommend booking with Amy if you want an unforgettable and informative experience. We loved every minute of it! Thank you, Amy!

Outstanding Walking Tour

What an amazing experience! I learned so much about historic St. Augustine - from the influence of the Spanish, French, and British to Henry Flager’s many contributions to St. Augustine’s place in our nation’s civil rights story. Russ was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, patient, and funny! We would love to sign up again. I highly recommend this amazing experience. I now look at St. Augustine with new eyes.

Russ is the top choice for a St Augustine tour

Russ is an outstanding guide. He is above and beyond. As a resident he knows the people, places, and sights of St. Augustine. We are looking forward to seeing Russ again. He showed us hidden gems that we might of overlooked. His knowledge of the local restaurants was amazing. We came back that evening to have dinner at one of his recommendations.

Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a fantastic time on the St. Augustine History waking tour! Our guide Evan was very informative. As an anthropology graduate from Flagler College, right at historic St. Augustine, he was passionate about the area history and shared many interesting facts. Evan also shared info on his favorite eateries- there are so many! We would recommend this about 1.5 hour tour to anyone! Good idea to do it very early during your stay to get ideas for the remainder of your trip! Also early in the morning for good parking choices and lower temperatures! Cheers! Bob & Annette
