History, Bites & Sips - Intimate Tour Since 2018

Description
Come with me on a intimate tour with a nice mix of history, architecture, fun anecdotes, a few jokes and really, really, tasty food. We'll start at the Plaza Mayor and then make our way through the old town, stopping at a local market to enjoy some entrees and drinks. Then continue our historical journey through the most ancient and interesting parts of the old town, to finally end before the majestic Royal Palace. After putting aside the history we’ll finish the tour at a really classic local restaurant where you'll get to taste different, mouth-watering food and local drinks. Of course, aside from the food goodies, we will get an opportunity to chill, know each other better and share some laughs. I want to make you feel as if you're walking through the city with a bunch of friends but one of them happens to know a lot about it and is more than willing to share the knowledge with you!

Passing trough the Cuchilleros arch, we'll proceed to visit "Sobrino de Botín" a Spanish restaurant in Madrid, founded in 1725. We'll have the opportunity to go inside and explore it from top to bottom.
Located in the heart of Madrid, the Mercado de San Miguel is a monument to Spanish cuisine, meeting point for food lovers. There, we will eat nd drink some of the best products this city has to offer you.
Plaza de la Villa is one of Madrid’s best-preserved historical monuments. We'll talk about it's buildings and their history as well as a super important figure of the once feared Spanish Armada.
Here we'll go from A to Z about the Spanish inquisition. The what, where and why, and also why does it stands out from the other ones.
The Segovia Viaduct is a viaduct in the La Latina neighborhood in Madrid, Spain. Throughout the centuries the area has been a major crossroad. A later version was built in 1934 to replace the previous iron one erected in 1874
Here we'll really come to understand Madrid's roots. How was it born and its actual purpose back then.
Madrid's cathedral, which stands in Hapsburg Madrid, has a short but tortuous history.
The Royal Palace of Madrid (Spanish: Palacio Real de Madrid) is the official residence of the Spanish royal family at the city of Madrid, although now used only for state ceremonies. Abel was very engaging and friendly. He knew all the history and took us to some unique spots for food and drinks as well as history. It was terrific and even the kids really enjoyed it! Would 100% recommend!
Abel was very friendly and welcoming. He speaks English very well, and is very knowledgeable about the area. This was a great tour, highly recommended!
Abel created an amazing tour, with a perfect blend of history, engaging storytelling, and delicious tapas and drinks. We stopped by two food establishments, a bustling food market and a restaurant, both highly respected and established places. There was a delicious cocktail at each stop (juice or water available to non-drinkers). We had huge charcuterie platters to share at the market (assorted cheeses, meats, olives, bread, etc.) and yummy local sausages and garlic mushrooms with bread for dipping at the other place. Got a quick private of the Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world! Do not hesitate to book this tour.
