We always choose Viator when visiting elsewhere so when company is visiting , I do the same. Tours are always fun and informative. I learned a few things and I live here! Tour guide Al was great and tried hard to keep the group in the shade on a 100 degree day in Charleston!
This walking tour was one of the best! Michael has such zeal for his hometown of Charleston, with so many great facts and a gift of sharing it!
Good walking pace, covered important sites. Our Guide Evans was exceptional! Great history and stories to back it up.
Bring good shoes and a positive energy . We enjoyed the humor our guide brought to his expert exploration of historic Charleston. Very enjoyable and entertaining if you have a knowledgeable guide like Michael
Was hoping for an overview of the high points of Charleston history and was more of an architectural tour based on the tour guides interests
We truly enjoyed the historic guided tour. It brought a lot of Charlestons rich history and wonderful architecture to life for us. Al was a wonderful tour guide. He is very knowledgeable of Charleston’s rich history and was eager to share his knowledge and experience. The 2 hours were well spent and seemed to go by very quickly.
This was an excellent and informative tour which gave us a great overview of the history, many landmarks, and architecture of Charleston. Our tour guide (Dennis) was informative, funny, and engaging, keeping our interest piqued throughout the two hour tour. He was also very conscious of making sure we stopped in shady areas for his talks which was much appreciated on a very hot day! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great overview of Charleston which will also give you a lot of suggestions for areas to check out in more depth.
We really enjoyed the walking tour. Sam did a great job of explaining the history. I particularly enjoyed the architecture
Our tour was AMAZING! We went on our first morning in town with our guide Duggar. He shared a lot of wonderful and interesting information with us throughout the tour. We walked about 5,000 steps and learned so much new information in just two hours. Duggar made every effort to keep us cool and shaded as much as possible. After the tour he talked with us making beach, food and downtown recommendations for our trip. Highly recommend this tour and doing it early in your visit for all the good recommendations and tips. :)
Tour was fabulous and well paced. The guide was informative and allowed time for questions while walking around .
