Itinerary
Also known as Shirasagi Castle [White Heron Castle], Himeji Castle is famous for its beautiful white exterior which was recently renovated. Enjoy a stroll around the grounds as you learn about the castle and its history from a knowledgeable guide.
Enjoy an original buffet lunch featuring a menu that changes with the season.
The tour will visit an observation facility on Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, one of the world's longest suspension bridges. Take this special opportunity to feel the bridge's grand scale and technological marvel right on your skin. See the Akashi Strait through the glass floor.
Travel by local train using non-reserved seat from Maiko station to Himeji station. Travel time is 50 minutes. Guide service ends at Maiko Station. Fare tickets to Himeji Station will be handed out, and you will be provided instructions on how to return.

- At Himeji Castle, there are no facilities such as elevators due to the structure, and there are a series of slopes, stairs, and steps. Please note that wheelchairs or strollers cannot be used to tour around inside buildings.
- This tour uses non-reserved seats on public transportation. Please note that seating is not guaranteed.
- The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
- If the Maiko Marine Promenade is closed, JPY 250 per adult will be refunded by the guide on the day.
- There will be an accompanying guide from the meet-up at Himeji Station until Maiko Station after entry to Maiko Marine Promenade. Fare tickets from Maiko Station to Himeji Station will be handed out, and customers will be provided instructions on how to return.
- Strollers cannot be used inside Himeji Castle.
- The meal is served buffet style. All meal requests including vegetarian meals and allergy-friendly meals are not accepted
- Sightseeing will be conducted on foot. Total walking distance on this tour is about 4.0 km [2.5 miles], so please wear shoes and clothing which are easy to walk in.
- As shoes must be removed to walk inside Himeji Castle, wearing socks is recommended.
- Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour.
- Tour's total duration is 7 hours 30 minutes, although the total duration listed in the itinerary is 4 hours. The remaining hours are allotted for travel time.
