The tour was great. It was very interesting and informative. The guide was really nice.
Paul, our guide, was exceptionally good. He gave us interesting and useful information. The pace was easy to keep up with. At the end of the tour, he gave us a pamphlet with additional useful information. I highly recommend Paul’s guided walking tour.
Paul was an excellent tour guide! My entire family (including two teenagers) really enjoyed learning about Lyon. Definitely worthwhile! Be sure to bring cash as we wish we had more to give him a bigger tip as we didnt realise that is how he makes he much deserved wage!
The tour was an eye opener and gave us fascinating insights into Lyon's past. Paul was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide and kept us engaged through the whole. We would definitely do the other tour if we returned.
Our guide, Paul, was fantastic! He explained a lot of unknown facts. We got to see a lot more than if we did a self-guided tour! Great tour.
Fantastic tour, visited places off the main tourist routes, hidden unless you know. Delved into Roman, medieval and modern history. Highly recommend. Paul’s love of the city was infectious. We saw him on booking.com but read from other reviews that it was a free tour and you pay him in tips without a second party app taking their cut... so a quick google I found him again through Guruwalk free app
We booked the tour on the first day to get our overview of Lyon and the various sights. Probably it was the wrong tour. We were very delayed by some people on crutches in the group (who constantly complained) so our tour had not much energy and we probably skipped a lot of things or we didn't get much insight. Paul had limited suggestions on watching the FIFA cup (I understand he's not a fan, but in the tourism industry and esp as a guide I would have expected some updates with current affairs). On the whole, we enjoyed some of the little stories he told us, but missed the big picture and the tourist overview. So I would say, research better what the tour is about and then see if it fits your bill.
Excellent guide. One of the best tours ever taken.
Paul shares interesting/educational information, shows you parts of the city you probably won’t discover on your own, speaks clearly. I would definitely recommend his tours (I went on both!).
We enjoyed every minute. Saw a lot in the short time. Paul not only showed what you have to see, but also many hidden treasures. And he has a good sense of humor.
