There you can enjoy the landscape of the Potrerillos Reservoir, which covers an area of approximately 1,500 hectares, is 7 km long, and almost 1.5 km wide.
It's an area that divides the foothills from the high mountains and is nestled in the imposing Cordón del Plata, located between 1,900 and 2,500 meters above sea level. Free time.
Declared a National Historic Monument, the Picheuta Bridge connected the Captaincy General of Chile with the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata since the 18th century. Here you can see the ruins of a fortification, a silent witness to important historical events linked to San Martín's heroic deeds.
A protected natural area declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its rock formation forms a natural bridge over the Las Cuevas River. Its geological, scenic, and historical value allow us to appreciate its important cultural identity.
Viewpoint of the highest hill in America at 6,960 meters above sea level.
It's the highest town in Mendoza, at 3,557 meters above sea level. It's a border area bordering Chile and provides access to the Christ the Redeemer monument during the summer. Optional lunch at a local restaurant. Not included.

Pickup Locations & Times
The search is carried out by accommodation within the microcenter of the Mendoza City. The pick-up service has a grid that assembles the tour guide knowing all the accommodations you must pass through. So they should be ready at the start time of the tour, knowing that you can have a delay of about 30 to 40 minutes depending on the tour of the service.

I loved this experience! The guide Hugo is great, very friendly. The view is wonderful from beginning to end. We couldn’t get to the Inca Bridge because the section was closed due to the weather. But that did not diminish the experience!

I dislike excursions, and yet I would do this high mountain one a thousand times more. If you are lucky enough to go with Esteban, you will understand why. I went to places and saw animals that I was already lucky enough to know, but this time I observed them in a totally different way. It was truly exciting. Esteban doesn't know it, but he made me cry twice. His love for nature, for his land, and his way of creating moments throughout the journey made the experience unforgettable. At 41 years old, I learned more about history and geography than during my entire school and university period. His ability to transmit his knowledge in a didactic way is supreme. I wish all guides were a little bit like Esteban and taught us to care for and love the beautiful place we inhabit.

Just wanted to congratulate you on the high mountain excursion we had yesterday. The guide, Esteban, is the best I have had in a very long time... The driver and guide were both friendly, professional and did the best they could with the circumstances. I completely understand that the weather is beyond anyone’s control, and I don’t blame the company for that. What I do blame them for is the lack of any worthwhile contingency plan. Instead of adapting the itinerary, we spent around two and a half hours at a remote stop with very little to do and almost no facilities. That isn’t bad weather, it’s poor planning. The minibus was also crammed. I’m only 5ft 9½ and found it uncomfortable for such a long day. Anyone taller would have an even worse experience. Communication was also poor throughout. The only time the company replied quickly was when they were taking payment. Before and after that, responses were slow or unhelpful. The guide and driver deserve credit, but the company’s organisation, communication and contingency planning let the trip down. I wouldn’t book with them again.

Regarding the contingency plan, our guides are highly experienced and always adapt the itinerary in the best possible way to complete the excursion safely while making the most of the day. Mountain conditions can change unexpectedly, and the available stops and facilities in these remote areas are very limited, which is unfortunately beyond our control. As for the vehicle, all of our fleet consists of new, zero-kilometre minibuses that comply with the required standards for this type of excursion. We are sorry to hear that you found the journey uncomfortable. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.
