Leading by local students who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for Hanoi with visitors, you will walk through the narrow streets of the Old Quarter as your guide take you on a journey through time, sharing stories of the city's past and present. You will have the opportunity to visit historical landmarks such as the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, as well as explore the local markets and shops. Your guide will also introduce you to traditional Vietnamese cuisine, recommending the best street food and local restaurants. By choosing our tour, not only will you have a memorable and personalized experience, but you will also be supporting the education and future of our local students. NOTE: - Please be noted that no tank tops and/or shorts (above the knee) when entering spiritual attractions such as pagodas, temples, The Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Complex, etc. - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum opening time: only morning from 7:30am – 11am

Itinerary
Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel or meeting point then we will start our Hanoi Old Quarter Walking Tour. The first destination of the tour will stop by Hoan Kiem Lake, considered the heart of Hanoi. You can observe many locals interesting activities such as playing badminton, doing exercises, etc.
Then, we head to Ancient House. Situated at a tranquil street near Silver Street, Ancient House appeals plenty of tourists by its ancient but sophisticated charm of a Vietnamese traditional house.
The Hanoitimes - Kim Ngan communal house (No. 42 Hang Bac, Hanoi) is an old architectural and religious structure built during the Le dynasty. In mid 2011, Kim Ngan communal house became a cultural and performing arts venue when it was chosen as a meeting place for lovers of ca tru singing. Note: optional
Thang Long Water Puppet is a final site we will visit. Traditional legends and historical tales are among the enchanting puppet plays performed at this popular theatre. Open Hours: 3pm-8pm (daily) Price: 100,000 - 200,000 (depend on your seat)

The tour was fantastic, both my friend and I have promptly fallen in love with Nhung (Hong Nhungh Khanh) and her son Kheiñ who were the best guides. She catered to our request for a different tour and made a plan in just one day and took us around local neighbourhoods and shared the most amazing stories. We then went to the HCM Museum where we discovered that she’s an amazing history tutor too. Cannot recommend her and the tour enough. I feel the best of tour guides end up becoming your friends and the fact that she is mine right now attests to the quality of the tour and how amazing she is as a person. Please go. The tour is free and you can even customise the plan by texting your guide beforehand. We were lucky to have gotten her!
Our guide Kay was super nice and friendly very well informed and was able to tell us many to us unknown facts about Hanoi and the places he showed us ...highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have an amazing experience

Emilia and Trang were so wonderful on our tour today. The tour actually went on longer than agreed as we asked then to take is to one or two specific places as well. The temple was really interesting and also the Asian house.Our tour guides had a rough plan for us but it kept changing due to our requests and they modified it to suit us, even taking time to have lunch with us. Emilia went out of her way to find me an ATM while Trang carried on the tour with the rest of my family. They are well versed in the history of the places they took us to. We even made a stop at Uniqlo after my daughter's request. I would recommend this group to anyone who's thinking of wanting to get to know the Old Quarter a bit more.

A friend of mine suggested me to try and it was the best experience! The guide told me so many things about Vietnam. We visited the prison, a temple and an old building. After the tour we ate bun cha :) Such a great energy exchange

Alice (& her friend Anna) provided great tour It was a light casual atmosphere as it was just the two of us tourists. Plus it was “Reunification Day” weekend and most of the locals were in celebration mode. Although we soon saw a sobering view of history in the old Hanoi Gaol under the French colonial period and slightly contrasting Vietnam war POW’s held there. A general tour of the old city with a typical French double story house with inner courtyard experience Later had lunch with the our two guides. Plenty of our questions to our guides enabled us to learn the lifestyle of the common people.
