If you're looking for an immersive and local way to experience Ninh Binh, this half-day cycling tour to Mua Cave and the Ancient Capital is perfect. It’s not just about sightseeing — it’s about connecting with the culture and people. Our local guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. As we cycled through peaceful countryside roads, he shared fascinating stories about the region's history, temples, and daily life in rural Vietnam. The route was flat and easy, even for casual riders, and the scenery — with rice fields, karst mountains, and water buffaloes — was absolutely stunning. Climbing up Mua Cave was definitely a highlight! The panoramic view from the top is breathtaking and well worth the steps. Afterward, we visited the Ancient Capital of Hoa Lu, where we learned about Vietnam's first dynasties in a serene and well-preserved setting. The best part of the tour was ending at a local family's home. We were warmly welcomed, shared tea, and tasted delicious home-cooked snacks. It felt genuine and personal — like being a guest rather than a tourist.
Absolutely fantastic! The recent trip to Hoa Lu was truly memorable. The scenery was magnificent and steeped in history. Especially, our guide, Mr. Tuan, was very enthusiastic, had a deep understanding of Hoa Lu, and conveyed information in a captivating way.
