We had an unforgettable time. Beyond discovering the recipes for three delicious Moroccan pastries that we will certainly make again, we particularly appreciated the warm welcome, the gentleness of this moment, the kindness, and the sharing and discussions over tea. We felt like friends passing through.
We had a wonderful pastry cooking class with Salwa and family in their beautiful riad. She was extremely friendly, warm, and helpful, giving us a lovely glimpse into Moroccan family life while we chatted about so many things. The cookie-making process was super clear and easy to follow, and taking our cookies to the local traditional oven to bake was such a special touch. Our family enjoyed every single moment. Thank you so much, Salwa, for your warm hospitality and great care. We would recommend this to everyone visiting Chefchaouen.
This was a wonderfull experience. Really genuine people who were very welcoming whilst sharing all aspects of their lives in Chefchaouen. The pastry cooking was terrific and we even went to the local community bakers oven to get the pastries cooked as per common local practice very interesting. We were even entertained musically by the owner with a traditional instrument whilst malking the pastries. The end result was a pile of delicious cookies.
This was a terrific experience. The owners both shared their time and family stories with us during the entire class. The pastries we made were sensational and included the walk to the neighbourhood wood fired oven for the actual cooking. An absolute great way to meet local genuine people.
We had an amazing time making traditional pastries with Mourad and his family. Their riad is beautiful and we even got to see the traditional oven. The pastries were delicious - I will deffinelty be making them at home!
Great experience! We loved sharing this activity. The girls were super friendly, Mourad was very welcoming too. The pastries were delicious on top of that. Perfect!
This was a truly hands-on cooking class, mixing much of the ingredients by hand. :-) we made three absolutely delicious and different cookies, baking them in the community oven, over a wood fire. we were warmly welcomed into their family home, and left feeling like friends. This was the perfect way to spend an extra three hours in Chefchaouen! And we took home plenty of cookies to share.
