The Handmade Tea Tour offers three primary experiences, beginning with tea plucking at our tea estate. 1. Tea Plucking: Start with a tea-picking session, including traditional worship at a nearby kovil. Participants receive a basket and can wear traditional tea plucker attire. 2. Tea Crafting: Visit a mini facility to see handmade tea crafting, followed by a brief overview of the tea-making process at the factory and the packaging of your selected tea. 3. Tea Tasting: Enjoy a tea tasting at Sky Cafe. The tour accommodates up to 6 visitors at a time, with six daily slots: Handmade Tea Tour Time Slots: (Sri Lankan Time). 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. For more details, contact the tea factory resource person.

Such a worthwhile experience! I enjoyed every second: learning about the tea plant, picking our own leaves, making our own green tea from what we picked and the factory tour. Our tour guide Hashan was very friendly and enthusiastic and was very knowledgeable. Was also a good photographer! 11/10

It was a great experience to make your own tea and to drink and take it with you at the end. Everything was explained well and the factory is also really active so you can see and understand the whole process.

I accidentally ended up booking 3 different tea estate / factory tours during my trip in Sri Lanka, so I was initially hesitant of doing the 3rd tour, but am really glad that I made it. The site: The factory is the largest among the 3 I've visited, with more automation and a good mix of machines from different ages. The plantation isn't the largest (around 50 acres) as this site is mostly for the black tea factory / tours. However, the site itself is absolutely beautiful, as it sits at top of a hill with 260 degrees paranormal view of the mountains, forests and tea planation grounds. Just the view itself made the tour worth it. The tour: The guide Priyanka is super detailed with her explanations. She went beyond explaining about black tea processing steps, to also include planting of tea trees, to even the tea auctioning process in Sri Lanka. I'm also really glad that the "handmade tea tour" is about green tea, so it gives more variety to the usual black tea factory tour.

The concept of the handmade tea tour was amazing experience . Me and my Taiwan group had a nice time with mr.Oshan and m/s Hemamali.. Both of them very friendly and supportive. I will be back with my another group from March again.

Very fun! Got picking tea leaves and making our own tea. Perfect with tour of the factory when it was not in full operation, less noise. Our guide Nimasha was knowledgeable and nice.

The booking process was challenging as it was not pissible to select a tour time and contact to trioadvisor regarding this was ignored. Need to contact the tea factory directly by whatsapp to actually get a response. The tea experience was good but we had not been informed the factory was not operating due to holiday the previous day. This was disappointing. Also the tour had overrun so the tasting was far too rushed.
