Halong Bay Shore Excursion: Full Day Cruise Tour from Cruise Port

Description
Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. The site's outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest.

Such an incredible cruise, highly recommend. Johnny was an amazing tour guide and had so much knowledge to share! He was so kind and friendly.
Johnny and the crew put in a lot of effort and did a great job. Thank you again. We had a wonderful day in a very small group.
great organized tour. Lunch could be improved
Our trip was great! Our guide Johnny was very knowledgable and attentive for the 7 hour excursion. Easy to find him at the cruise ship port, and quick loading on to the boat. We had 18 passengers, and could have had room for at least 30, so lots of space, which was nice. Clean, available bathrooms. Soda, beer, water available for sale ($1-2 USD), and you do get 1 free with lunch. The itinerary was different than what was on Viator, but it all ended up being great. Went to an oyster & pearl farm, Sung Set Cave, then had lunch (so much food! A set menu, and it just kept coming. After lunch, we visited Luon Cave - we had options to take a bamboo boat (included), kayak (included) or speedboat (~$17 USD), and we had enough time to do 2 of the 3! Finally, we also stopped at Titov Isle - has a viewpoint with about 450 steps, which I didn't do, but we had enough time here to allow that. We stayed at the beach/shops area, which was pretty small. Swimming was allowed, but again, it was very small, so we didn't go in. Johnny was a great guide and the boat crew were wonderful! Great way to see the cool bay area.
This tour, with David, was quite enjoyable, and his energy was contagious. From the fishing villages to the caves all was unique and interesting. The visit to the family owned oystery was nice, and the pearl shop was very good. The meal on the boat was enormous and tasty. Be ready to walk a lot of stairs in the cave.
This Halong Bay cruise tour was delightful! David was a wonderful tour guide!! The boat & crew that we cruised with were lovely. The meal that was prepared for us was outstandingly delicious!!!!
Great experience! Johnny, our guide was awesome! Multi course meal, 😋 was delicious! Much to explore @ 4 sites!
Absolutely loved this experience! It started out a little disorganized as there were several guides for our large group. They met us in the cruise terminal and had to take down information from our Vietnam landing cards and then divide us into smaller groups. But once this was accomplished, things went smoothly. Peter was our guide and did a great job keeping track of our group. With this excursion, you could relax as much as you wanted. Our first stop was a pearl farm where we learned how cultured pearls are made. Next stop was Surprise Cave. Be prepared! There are somewhere between 500 - 700 steps going up and down. But, the cave was impressive! Next cas a seven course delicious lunch on the boat. Last stop was scenic Hang Luan cave. We rode in a bamboo boat and saw monkeys here! This is definitely a "must do" excursion in Ha Long.
Had a wonderful full day on Halong Bay immersed in the beauty surrounding us! Loved our stops and our guide, Johnny, was terrific and very attentive. Also, the boat crew were really great and accommodating. I would highly recommend this excursion!
Halong Bay is very beautiful and very busy. The Viator tour company made the day special even though it was far too busy for me. Our guide David Tran was amazing. Almost perfect English, charming personality and knowledge of the area made him the perfect guide. The boat staff were great as was the food!
