Dong, Mie, and Win took great care of us. We had a great time and were so happy we spent a portion of our trip with them. Thank you to all!

Magical Place but in danger of over commercialisation!

As members of the 22-strong Anglo-Thai Society Regional Tour Group, my wife and myself are on a 2 Day/1 Night cruise of Halong Bay. It was our first experience of Halong Bay which is, undoubtedly, a magical place. However, a number of our Group had visited before over a timespan of 20 years and the consensus of opinion was that there is a real danger of over commercialisation spoiling what is something very special. This was evident in the excursions we did to a nearby Cave and Beach which were both packed with other visitors. Not a good experience and this coupled by quite a lot of debris suggests the Authorities need to keep more control on the number of boats operating in the Bay.

Great Halong Bay

Travel to Halong by Bus within 4 hours including break between the trip. We enjoy the cruise tour with a splendid view over thousands of limestones. Do kayak or simply swim on Titop island for your joyful moment. Night time you can enjoy Vietnamese class which quite interesting. Food is great and staff are execellent. I have visited this places 3 times and still want to come back sometimes. Highly recommend!

Unbelievable views

We went one a 5 star Luxurious cruise it was magnificent. There was so much to do on the cruise, swimming, canoeing, visiting a island township. On the overnight cruise the rooms were so luxurious and the view from our private balcony was amazing to sit there and just watch the world go bye. The food was fantastic and so much variety. Definitely worth while.

Spectacular Halong Bay

While doing our trip through Vietnam one of our stops was a trip down to Halong Bay for a cruise on the Starlight Boat Cruise. Once on board we had a magnificent lunch followed by some relax time before we went to go see the fisher men’s village that was located on the sea. The people live and fish on the sea. Took a kayak and paddled around the cliffs of the surrounding area. Breathtaking. Came back on board had chill time took some cocktails and then went for supper where they gave us a cooking instruction on making spring rolls. The next morning early We could go for a Thai Chi class before breakfast (which I LOVED) then we took a trip by boarding a boat for a cruise among the numerous limestone karst rising from the emerald water. Made a stop en route to visit a grotto of spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. We only had one night on the boat but it was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend doing this if ever in Vietnam. It’s a breathtakingly beautiful adventure.
