7:30 Hotel pick up in Hanoi Old Quarter From 7:30 to 8:10, our English-speaking tour guides will pick you up from your stay in Hanoi Old Quarter. The pick-up address and time will be discussed in advance through WhatsApp. Please be prepared before this time to help speed up the transporting process. We'll take a small break halfway through to stretch your legs, use the restroom, or get a quick food in case you missed breakfast.
11:00 Check in at the port and board the cruise Once the bus/ limousine arrives at Halong International Port, our friendly staff will be waiting for you with an enthusiastic smile and help you board the cruise. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink while the captain introduces the cruise information, the schedule for the day, and safety instructions. 11:30 Lunch onboard. Indulge in a delectable buffet lunch with a wide range of delicacies, including fresh seafood, Vietnamese cuisine, and Asian/European fusion dishes. We also provide a specialized Indian vegetarian menu. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance, and we will organize alternatives for you. While enjoying the food, you can admire the stunning scenery of Halong Bay islands through our large sea-view windows.
13:30 Explore Sung Sot Cave, also known as Surprising Cave. Our experienced guide will take you to Sung Sot Cave on Bo Hon Island, known as the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay. You will be “surprised” and impressed by the magnetic beauty of the stalactite system with unique shapes. Before returning to the boat, you'll spend roughly 45 minutes exploring Sung Sot Cave. For tourists who can’t walk for long, you can opt out of this activity and chill on the cruise instead!
14:30 Stop at Titop Island. Ti Top Island is the most famous spot in Halong Bay and is considered a beach getaway paradise. On this small island, you can hike up to Ti Top Peak to admire the breathtaking panoramic view of Ha Long Bay and the sensation of being on top of the world. Take a minute to appreciate the breathtaking splendor of natural surroundings while you lay on the white sand beach or swim in the cool blue water of Halong Bay.
15:30 Visit Luon Cave This stunning water cave will impress you with the tranquil beauty of blue water flowing gently. Kayaking or getting on a bamboo boat ride through Hang Luon, you can admire the majestic limestone roof and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of Halong Bay.
16:30 Cruise return to Halong International Port On the way back to the port, there is plenty of time to enjoy the Sunset Party on the spacious sundeck with Vietnamese tea and cakes. You can relax to the music and have a chat with companion travelers while admiring the fantastic sunset view over Halong Bay.
17:30 Board the bus/ limousine to return to Hanoi via the expressway. On the way, we will have a short break for 30 minutes. 20:00 Our driver will drop you off at your accommodation in the Old Quarter. Thank you for traveling with us!

This was the worst Viator tour that I have ever experienced. I chose it because the hotel pick up and drop was confirmed at the start. However, at 10pm the night before the trip we were told to meet at a different site away from the hotel. A time to meet was given as 7:20am. At 7:00am, we receive a message that the bus is coming and we should be at the pick up point. We had to rush. Then, the description of the tour was inaccurate. The length was described as 10-11 hours, but ended up being 14 hours. The food was not as described, either. Finally, we were dropped off at a different site without any help of how to get to our hotel. We would not have chosen this tour if the description was more accurate… definitely in terms of the pick up and drop off and length of tour. How can we trust Viator?
Dear Darshini, Thank you for the honest feedback about some issues we have on our cruise tour. We sincerely apologize and hope you still have some good memories about the beauty of Halong Bay. We will work harder to overcome all the things you mentioned to ensure better quality from now on.
I’m sure 99% of the people on this tour today had a good time however my wife unfortunately has caught a bug/fever and was visibly unwell on the tour. Not one tour guide came to check in on her throughout the afternoon and not one member of the boat staff did either. She spent over 1 hour lying down on the couches at the front of the boat covered with 2 towels to try & keep warm and no one came to check on her, offer her water or a wet cloth or help whatsoever. More concerned about looking after other guests. What is really concerning if there was a major health issue for anyone on the tour. We believe it is unsafe as no medical support or care was offered. The focus was around how much money we would spend and also leaving tips for staff. This feedback was shared with Fola Travel and they took action to try and make my wife’s trip back to the hotel more comfortable but unfortunately it doesn’t override the terrible duty of care shown to an ill passenger on their tour.
