We got a great weather day with calm water, and that made the day extra nice. Our guide was charming and helpful. A wonderful outing!
It was the perfect day for sea kayaking. Absolutely smooth sea. We saw many Stingrays slumbering in the sand, sea urchins (unfortunately a plague) and Madison even briefly fished one of many starfish for us to admire from the sea. The Marlborough Sounds from this perspective was great. And we were the only guests. You can't have more luck.
This was a quick stop for us in Picton, as the cruise ship had a really early departure. The guide was fun, and they had all the equipment we needed. We went to several coves to see the local fauna, and also saw a few stingrays.
Amazing excursion from beginning to end, with beautiful scenery, and much wildlife! We saw dozens of stingrays, so many beautiful birds, starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and much more! Helen was an outstanding guide!
Amazing time kayaking on the Malborough Sound! Helen was so knowledgeable about the native plant and sea life of the area. We were able to see scenic views, sting & eagle rays in a cove, sea stars eating lunch, and a variety of birds at a bait ball. Helen took time to give instructions on how to operate the kayak and dealt deftly with an ill member of the larger group who was unable to participate. We also enjoyed hearing about her background and the local area. Kayaks were top notch! Highly recommend Wilderness Guides & Helen!
A beautiful day with many impressions. After a short drive and the Safty briefing, we finally started. Short the paddle sync and off we go. Yes some rain not quite as warm but very nice.
My wife and I planned this relaxing kayaking experience in the morning before taking our ferry in the afternoon. Beautiful relaxing experience with Matt, our friendly and knowledgeable guide.
Madison was amazing! Her instructions were simple and easy to follow. Extremely, knowledgeable about the history, geography, and sea life of New Zealand.
Beautiful day on the water with an experienced guide. Good for beginners. Learned some history along the way too!
Beautiful trip and good guide
