Known for hosting the country's best Carnaval and festivals, Mindelo offers an authentic taste of island life. Venture beyond the city to take in breathtaking views from Monte Verde, the island’s highest point, and visit picturesque coastal villages where hospitality and local traditions thrive. Drive to the highest point of our Island, Monte Verde, 774m or 2,539ft, have breathtaking panoramic views, enjoy a cup of tea (grown locally) or try the tea liquor

Beautiful enclosed bay of blue/green water with great coastal views, take some time for a swim. This beach is where our Famous Annual International Music Festival of Baia das Gatas celebrating 35 years!

Great informative tour Guide spoke very good English
We had a great 1/2 day with Sonia and Vino driving up the mountain, learning about the past Ana future of Mindelo and understanding Sao Vicente in context to the other islands in the archipelago. Bonus for Boston residents- we learned when we got picked up that the owners are from Boston! They have great stories - Boston has the biggest concentration of Cape Verdeans in the US.

Very, very windy. So dress accordingly. Spectacular views. Very fine Sahara sand beach but lacks facilities.
The guide and driver were early as were we which was great. They introduced themselves although we can’t remember their names. They were lovely boys. They took us to all the places we wanted to go and that were on the itinerary. The driver kept us safe on some very challenging roads, the guide was very respectful and always asked did we want to walk or take the bus. Thanks boys.
