The tour includes as a first stop the arrival at the first archaeological site, or Herculaneum. This ancient Roman city is slightly smaller than Pompeii, but nevertheless has famous architectural monuments to visit. In Herculaneum there are many monuments to visit, including the Casa dello Skeletro, the Casa dell'Albergo and the Casa con bottega. After the visit to the archaeological excavations of Herculaneum, you will head towards those of Pompeii.
Here you will have the opportunity to visit the main religious attractions, such as: the Temple of Vespasian, the Temple of Fortuna Augusta, you will visit private houses including: the House of the Tragic Poet and the House of the Vettii, and much more. Finally, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Pompeii and Herculaneum are the only archaeological sites in the world capable of giving the visitor a clear description of what a Roman inhabited center was. Inside the Pompeii excavations you will be accompanied by a guide who will make it easier for you to understand what you will see

We had a great tour with our driver Michele, who was really friendly and accomodating allowing us to extend the tour with an extra side trip to Mount Vesuvius. We enjoyed our tour of Pompeii & had a good guide, but it is a very large area to cover & was very hot & crowded. Preferred Herculaneum which was a lot smaller, quieter, easy to walk around, with remarkably preserved two-storey buildings, with more intact frescoes & mosaics.

Our driver Antonello was absolutely the best! On our drive from Positano to Pompeii, he told us a bunch of history and locations that we drive past. On the way back he even stopped at a point that overlooks Positano for a lemon sorbet. It was delicious and a beautiful view! Our tour guide Claudia in Pompeii was incredible and informative. We loved learning all the rich history of Pompeii. Herculaneum was also even better to learn more. Definitely recommend!

This is a very nice 1/2 day excursion. We were picked up in Ravello at 10am and were back at 5pm. Our driver, Michele, was very professional and very nice. He did a great job communicating with us and has a great personality. Roberta was an excellent guide for both Pompeii and Herculaneum. I can’t imagine seeing these sites without a guide. Her knowledge and ability to get us to see the key items was well appreciated. And, Antonio did a great job communicating with us on all details so we knew where to meet the driver with no anxiety during the day.
