Staying in the area of the airport limits the trips available. We could only find this one to pick up from hotel Domani. The operator Ibrahim was excellent. A good English speaker and very knowledgeable. The half day trip finally finished after 6.5 hours. Thus allowed for the volume of traffic. A really worthwhile private tour.
Fantastic overview of the city with several stops for sightseeing and food. Knowledgeable local guide made the entire event an adventure.
Lucas arrived very early as he was anticipating the heavy traffic since he knew that we had to return early to the hotel. He was very engaging! He brought as to the most Instagammable area in São Paolo where we took a lot of pictures. He made sure to protect us from anyone who may have bad intentions with us as we went downtown. He shared a lot of stories about all the areas where he took us and he even gave us back stories about Brazil! We regret that we didn't have more time to go around! He also gives a night life tour which we would definitely avail of the next time that we are in Brazil. We highly recommend this tour and getting Lucas as your tour guide because he is highly knowledgeable about Brazil, he knows his way around very well, and he will be able to protect you against any untoward incident.
I booked last minute so was told that the tour would begin at 12:30, not 9:30 as advertised. Roberto didn't show up until 1:00, blaming traffic (as if traffic isn't always heavy in Sao Paulo). I offered to show him the online voucher from Viatour, but he said it wasn't necessary. First we went to Batman Alley, which is the location advertised on Viatour. I wanted to stay longer but after a quick walk around he said we had to leave to see other things. Next we headed toward Ibirapuera Park but having just come from the Pantanal and Chapada dos Guimarães, I wasn't very interested in an urban park, so we skipped it. We went to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady Assumption and Saint Paul, and the Municipal Market, then Roberto said that the tour was over. Since the tour is advertised as 5 hours and we'd only been out for 3 hours, I was surprised. Roberto claimed that the shortened time was because we didn't go to the park. He made the ridiculous claim that it was the biggest park in the world and would have accounted for all the remaining time. I wasn't satisfied and asked to go back to see more of the graffiti in Batman Alley but he said that was impossible. I was very dissatisfied with Roberto, the guide. He spent most of the time on his phone, even when he was driving. Then, as we returned to the hotel, he said that he needed to see the voucher, which he'd declined earlier.
Hello, Thank you for contacting us and for helping us improve our services. We would like to clarify a few details regarding your tour. The booking was made at the last minute, and your hotel was located in a more distant area near the airport. Because of this, it was not possible to reach the meeting point quickly. The tour also ended up being shorter than usual due to your request to avoid long walks, considering your age and tiredness. Normally, once we finish visiting a specific area, it is not possible to return to the same point, but we adjusted the itinerary to ensure your comfort. Additionally, when you requested only a short walk in the park and preferred not to stop for a meal, this also optimized the time and contributed to the shorter tour duration. For your safety, we have the full recording of the tour. On the way back to the hotel, located at Guarulhos Airport, you rested and slept for most of the journey. Thank you for your understanding. Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information or assistance.
We spent a few great hours with Lucas! He was very friendly all the way and we had a fun chat. He showed me a lot of hidden stuff, how to get good food, where to look for good paintings, buildings... We knew each other well also and shared stories about countries and life. It was really like going out with a good friend. We went to the big church, then around the park, then to the famous mural place (Batman!)... Time spent well and fast (for me). I just recommend Lucas, who anyways helped me to deal with the hotel laundry machine was more just for locals. Diverse service he gave, as we would say. :) Downside: the Company might make more clear that the shared tour is not really with transit to the tour main area. For a non local it is not obvious. So I became somehow forced into the private, which was anyways, of course, good. They made good for me anyways. And of course I was the one who overlooked this info first, but still... A 'no transfer' text there would be good. Nobody is interested in the info that between the places they use a 'vehicle' also which anyways was probably not the one we were inside. That is just misleading there that 'vehicle' in the list as it is now by the Viator and TA text. Everything about transportation. But overall no complain about the bigger price, just because of Lucas. He really tried all efforts to make a good service, and for example his English and cultural intelligence is far better than a lot of other people's in Brazil.
The graffiti area was Amazing ! Set. Huh. Bubble. Bhhh. Bout. Bgffuui. Huston. Hygffghjigfhjjgghjnhggfrf
Our tour guide was nice and friendly, but quite most of the time. Improvement on being more informative while driving through the city between destinations would help.
Roberto was on time, flexible, knowledge. We had a fabulous time and learned a lot on this lovely day in São Paulo.
The tour guide arrived 2 hoursate due to car problems but used his own vehicle to make sure the trip happened which was appreciated and the communication was good. He was polite, we saw some excellent highlights within the city. He joined us for lunch. It didn't blow me away but the city is so huge you must explore with a guide otherwise you won't make the most of it.
The tour is very relaxed but covers a lot of sites. Very well worth while. Loved Batman Alley. Our guide was easy going and fun. He seemed to know people all over the city.
