Enjoy an informative tour of Upcountry Maui, Haleakala National Park and a trip up to the summit. Admire views like no other in this world of the dormant crater as well as bicoastal views of Maui.
Maui’s rich farming and ranching history is still evident by the vast pastures that line the side of the mountain. Kula’s cool weather and rich volcanic soil make the area an ideal spot for a number of Lavender, Protea, and Macadamia Nut farms.
The Hawaiian Cowboys or Paniolos have roots set deep in the town of Makawao. This small town still has hitching rails at storefronts just as the locals once used to tie up their horses.
Today Pa’ia is a popular surf destination, however, Pa’ia’s history is as intriguing as it is fascinating. Learn about how the Sugar Plantations shaped this town and the culture of the island, and how this small north shore town was once a gathering place for entertainment and fun.

We had a great time. Sunrise was amazing! Russell was the best tour guide. Highly recommend.
The sunrise was breathtaking, very beautiful. The tour guide, Cory did an excellent job driving and discussing history of the volcanoes. After the sunrise, we stopped in Piai for authentic Hawaiian breakfast. The staff was attentive, gracious, and food delicious!
Guide was great. Gave great history and was upbeat. It was kinda cloudy so didn’t get to see a great sunrise but it was still beautiful and a great experience.
Very nice drive to the sunrise at Haleakala with a nice guide. However, the tour did not take place on the day we booked, but later, as there were not enough bookings.
Corey was such an amazing tour guide, between his constant jokes and attentiveness to making sure our group never broke apart- he truly made this experience worthwhile especially as a solo traveler. He explains so much of Mauis history on the scenic drives and even stopped so we can star gaze, something I’ll never forget. If you book, ask to be with Corey! He’s such a light, and took great care of all of us, took great pictures of all of individually too!
Corey, our tour guide provided us with a ton of history and island facts with some Dad jokes mixed in. Made it super enjoyable.
Tour operator Cory was great and the sunrise was incredible . We also stopped to see the stars on the way up the mountain
This was a lot of fun. First, it was nice having someone else do the driving, and once daylight hit, I felt this even more. The road are so windy, and it was nice having an experienced driver handling it. Plus Eddie was terrific. He was entertaining, stressed the importance of safety for every aspect of the tour, and made the day very enjoyable. He even had us take a really fun picture near the summit that made us all smile.
Tour was great! Xavier tour guide was excellent as was pick up driver Corey. Pick up was on time and tour was very informative! Highly recommend to see
I would have rated a 5 only we didn't get a sunrise. This was no fault of the tour operator at all. The night before our tour, it rained, more than it had in the last 12 months. When we arrived at the volcano the fog had come in and it started raining again, so we couldn't see the sunrise. Breakfast was delicious at Cafe O'lei. Our tour guide Bill was very knowledgeable and got us there early so we had the best vantage point. Make sure you take warm clothes, it's extremely cold and you need to rug up.
