Haarlem Open-Boat Canal Cruise with Live Guide (Electric Boat)

Description
Explore the charm of Haarlem the way locals love it most: from the water. Step aboard a stylish, comfortable open electric sloop and cruise through Haarlem’s historic canals and along the Spaarne River. With a real live guide on board (not an audio recording), you’ll hear the stories behind the city’s oldest buildings, beautiful bridges, and hidden waterways—plus plenty of fun facts you won’t find in a guidebook. This cruise is small-scale and personal. Ask questions, get local tips (cafés, museums, photo spots), and enjoy Haarlem at a relaxed pace. The boat is usually open for the best views, and if the weather changes, a rain cover can be used so you can stay comfortable. Perfect for couples, families, and anyone who wants a real Haarlem experience—quiet, scenic, and sustainable. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase on board.

This was a wonderful way to see Haarlem and to learn about the city and culture from our knowledgeable guide.
The site is easy to find and there is a lot of history to learn.
Ties in top! Ten points, please until the next
Peter told us a lot of interesting things about the city (and he even did this in German). Definitely worth it and highly recommended. There were also drinks on board 👍🥂
What a lovely experience. The skipper Peter was so welcoming and friendly. His commentary was on point and he answered all my questions. I loved this boat because it was open air and easy to move around in. I can strongly recommend using this service.
Thanks to fate, I had a private tour because no other visitors had signed up for the time slot I booked. Captain Peter led the canal tour. He was very friendly and open, showed the main sights, and shared interesting stories about them. Additionally, he answered all questions in detail. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Afterward, you can visit the Adriaan Windmill for €7.50. The windmill is beautifully designed and definitely worth a visit.
A wonderful way to explore Haarlem! The electric boat was quiet and comfortable, and the live guide shared interesting stories with humor and enthusiasm. The canals are beautiful, and the relaxed atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. Friendly staff and well organized. Definitely recommended if you want to see the city from a different perspective!
Highly recommend this activity. Our guide Mace and the skipper Tomas were excellent, very friendly and forthcoming. The boat was comfortable and clean and our group of four got a great sense of Haarlem and it's history. We saw several of the many draw bridges in operation to allow larger boat traffic through. It was a windy day, but in the capable hands of our skipper and crew we were able to navigate the twists and turns with ease.
Highly recommend this company! Very enjoyable cruise on small open boat. Not crowded. Friendly captain Worden shared lots of info/stories about Haarlem, including its history, geography, architecture, etc. Reasonably priced. They were also very accommodating...we got a bit lost getting to the meeting point...called them on the way and they waited for us (5 minutes). Then another group who were even more lost called and the captain arranged to pick them on the way at (wrong) place where they were waiting without sacrificing any of our for time. A wonderful way to spend a nice sunny afternoon being introduced to Haarlem.
This is a fantastic tour, nothing fancy, very casual and comfortable. Moe was so great-welcoming, helpful, informative, humorous. It was nice that we were 3 couples traveling together. The limit of six passengers makes it nice - there is no crowd. We could chat. There is no amplification, so if you have hearing issues, you may have trouble hearing him. Still the welcome, the cruise, the food and drink-such a great tour. Do it!
