Itinerary
We'll take you on a private car to Halong Bay from Hanoi after picking you up
Bai Tho Mountain is one of the highest mountains in Ha Long, located at an altitude of 200m with half lying on land, half lying on the sea. Climbing to the top of the mountain you can admire the whole panorama of Ha Long City in a flash. Bai Tho Mountain is a beautiful limestone mountain in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. From early childhood, this mountain is called the Roundup Mountain (Transmission Dang Son) because this is the place where the soldiers in ancient times burned fire to the capital every time the enemy came. Today, the name of Bai Tho Mountain was set by nine mountain poems, including the Han poems of Le Thanh Tong carved on stone in 1468, and Zhenggang in 1729. Each poem is priceless literature, still exists almost intact to this day and has become the pride of the whole city of Ha Long.
After lunch, we'll take you to Tuan Chau port where you'll get on a private boat to explore Halong Bay
The first stop on the boat will be Sung Sot Cave. Sung Sot Cave was allegedly first discovered by the French in 1901, who took it upon themselves to name it “Grotte des Surprises”, or Surprising Cave, because of its ‘surprising’ beauty (although the name didn’t catch on until a good 40 years later). The cave welcomed its first visitors in 1993, a mere one year before Halong Bay would receive its first bestowment of World Heritage site status from UNESCO. After that, we will take you to Luon cave on a kayak and the last stop will be at Titop Island where you can either swim or trek up to the top of the mountain to get to see an incredible view
Trấn Quốc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, is located on a small island near the southeastern shore of Hanoi's West Lake, Vietnam. Standing at 15 meters, the main pagoda is made up of eleven levels, while its surrounding buildings include an incense burning house and a museum housing historic relics. You can also see intricately carved statues dating to 1639, each of which bears a unique facial feature. If you're searching for Instagrammable spots around Hanoi, Tran Quoc Pagoda is absolutely one of them
St. Joseph's Cathedral is a church on Nha Chung Street in the Hoan Kiem District of Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a late 19th-century Gothic Revival church that serves as the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hanoi to nearly 4 million Catholics in the country.
The Huc Bridge is a beautiful construction built to connect the Ngoc Son Temple located in the heart of Hoan Kiem Lake and the lake bank. Being an indispensable part of Ngoc Son Temple, a splendid symbol of the Buddhist architecture and a famous destination in Hanoi. The Huc Bridge is well-known as “the bridge where light is absorbed”. Constructed mostly by fine wood and painted with the bright red color, The Huc Bridge has an elegant beauty and sophisticated architectural features.
Long Bien Bridge is a historic cantilever bridge across the Red River that connects two districts, Hoan Kiem and Long Bien of the city of Hanoi, Vietnam. It was originally called Paul Doumer Bridge. It's not only a traffic construction, a nice architecture for photos, but also a living historical relic.

The tour starts with us picking you up from the hotel and we'll bring you to this famous Mausoleum. It is a final resting place of Vietnamese Revolutionary leader & President Ho Chi Minh, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho’. His body is preserved here in a glass case at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in central Hanoi. Visiting HCM Mausoleum is definitely an extraordinary experience as it is not just an average attraction, it’s a part of a unique history.
The Temple of Literature is often cited as one of Hanoi’s most picturesque attractions. Originally built as a university in 1070 dedicated to Confucius, scholars, and sages, the building is extremely well preserved and is a superb example of traditional-style Vietnamese architecture. This ancient site offers a lake of literature, the Well of Heavenly Clarity, turtle steles, pavilions, courtyards and passageways that were once used by royalty. Visiting the Temple of Literature you will discover historic buildings from the Ly and Tran dynasties in a revered place that has seen thousands of doctors’ graduate in what has now become a memorial to education and literature. Originally the university only accepted aristocrats, the elite and royal family members as students before eventually opening its doors to brighter ‘commoners’. Successful graduates had their names engraved on a stone stele which can be found on top of the stone turtles.

Tracy was a great guide! She was friendly, took great pictures of us, and we learned a lot about Ha Long Bay and Vietnamese culture from her. Ha Long Bay was so beautiful to see. Our guide, driver, and boat crew took care of us well.
Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a wonderful experience with Tracy. It’s great to know you enjoyed learning more about Ha Long Bay and Vietnamese culture, and that she helped capture beautiful memories for you as well. We’re also happy to hear our driver and boat crew took good care of you throughout the trip. Ha Long Bay truly is a special place, and we’re glad you enjoyed it so much!
The tour was wonderful, the guide terrible. Pick up was punctual at our hotel and having a private boat for your group is amazing vs so many of the big crowds you see. The spots on the tour were wonderful too. I would recommend this experience to anybody. Our guide, however, made the day quite unpleasant and we actually decided to ask to end the tour 3 hours early as a result. The highlight of the day was her leaving the van. It started on the way to Ha Long Bay. She made us stop at a really shady pearl store that is a tourist trap. She said she stopped there because they give tour guides free coffee and soup to eat. Again … my friend and I had no desire to go there. And we were stuck looking at pearls and being pressured to buy their crap for 15 minutes while Pink had her free coffee and soup. Then 15 minutes into our time on the boat, she stands next to me and talks for the next 20 minutes about each of the ~10 people I should feel obligated to tip. Even going so far as to say “how” to tip. (She wants separate money given to the driver vs her because otherwise she is expected to split 50/50 with him.). The worst part was after we were on the champagne boats, enjoying a nice trip under the cave and into the inner part of a mountain. As the boat came back, she was on the dock literally yelling for me to make sure to give money to the boat pilot. We were on a boat of 20 people. She yelled that for me in front of everybody. NOBODY else gave the person money. I did because I felt pressured and embarrassed about it. Then we get back on the boat and at the other end of the inner seating area I hear Pink on a very loud voice telling the boat people to not worry because “big boss is rich and will leave big tips for everybody.” I had planned to leave tips. But I do NOT want to be shamed or bullied into it and do not want to do it for entitled people and 7 of the 10 she listed I needed to tip literally did not interact with us. I hated the trip and we asked to please skip the last stops and just go back to the hotel.

In February 2025, my friends and I did the Ha Long Bay Instagram Tour with ForeverVacation and honestly, it felt like stepping into a postcard. Every stop was more breathtaking than the last! We cruised through those iconic limestone cliffs, explored hidden caves, and hit all the most photogenic spots (our phones were working overtime 😂). The boat ride was super chill, the views were unreal, and our guide knew exactly where to get those “wow” shots. Perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and straight-up Instagram gold. If Ha Long Bay isn’t on your bucket list yet add it now and take this tour!
