Visit to the small towns near Amsterdam. Even though the Spanish guide bailed on us, Rob was top. Unfortunately I don't speak English so I didn't understand much, but the guide seemed very cool to me; he spent the whole time explaining stories and anecdotes about those places. Super friendly and fun, besides being prepared for his job.
Great experience, MUST DO while visiting Amsterdam. Very beautiful scenery, great and friendly staff
It was really fun to see the shoemaking process and learn/try the different cheeses! The windmills were beautiful and Rob was very nice and gave us a lot of information. Just be careful if you want to eat on site - it is very expensive.
Never got in the tour. We were at the meeting place 15 minutes before the tour however the lady behind the counter said they are not running, they only had the9:30 and 1130
Would have been great, but our driver never showed up at the designated meeting point. Therefore we had to get another ticket with a different company., which didn't go on a water cruise. Therefore, I expect my money to be refunded in full.
Part of large group. Well organized. 10 min walk to bus. Fabulous tour guide. Tour in both English and Spanish. Beautiful old town. Amazing presentations, yummy cheese tasting. Highly recommend this tour.
There is alot of walking, it's not good for older people or any with disabilities, we were so tired and my knee & leg hurt the entire time.
The bus picks you up right outside the central station! The bus was nice and the tour was informative. Going inside the windmills is an extra charge but worth it!
We booked this tour as we wanted to check off a couple of things off our must-see list in Amsterdam. This is the perfect tour if you want to get a taste of major sights: windmills, Gouda cheese and wooden clogs. All are situated in one location making it convenient and no need to take up time with driving to multiple locations. This trip includes transportation in a comfortable air-conditioned bus and a tour guide. Our guide was Derek - who was very knowledgeable about the sites and stories surrounding our visit. The tour starts off with a live presentation on how wooden clogs are made. Then to the gift shop where a wide array of shoes are available - from souvenirs to actual wearable shoes. Next the cheese making presentation, which leads to some fantastic cheese tasting. Their products are amazing and they had such a variety to choose from! I plan to order some for XMas! Lastly the windmills. There are four large windmills nestled along the river’s edge, an absolutely breathtaking scene. We could have easily spent the day there but the tour manages to squeeze all this in half a day. I would suggest taking the first tour in the morning as a means of getting to the park earlier. We noticed the park was starting to get more crowded as we were getting ready to leave. This tour is money well spent and we would highly recommend.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the tour and the visits to the windmills, cheese farm, and clog workshop. We’re also happy to hear that Derek made your experience even more enjoyable with his knowledge and stories. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in the future. Kind regards, TourCompany
Great half day tour outside of the city. Great mix of guided tour and free time, which is my preference. Several little shops and food options, better than expected. Not far drive from city centre. It wasn’t entirely clear for meeting spot to depart and there was a wall to the bus which could be a challenge for those with limited mobility. I opted for canal cruise addition which was very close to departure point for bus tour and the canal cruise was great.
Thank you for your lovely review. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the tour, the balance between guided time and free exploration, and the canal cruise addition. We appreciate your feedback regarding the meeting point and accessibility concerns and will take this into account to improve our guests’ experience. Kind regards, TourCompany
