Winery Tour and Wine Tasting in Siena with Afternoon Meal. Immersed in the magical atmosphere of rural Tuscany, just a stone's throw from the old town of medieval Siena, the experience is a journey into the history, culture, tradition, and science that give life to every bottle of our organic wine. During the winery tour we will analyze together the characteristics of the vineyard agro-ecosystem and the techniques used to preserve and regenerate rural resources. In our old wine cellar, we will take you through the fascinating world of winemaking and the secrets behind crafting quality wine. The tour will end in our tasting room, where you will grasp all the organoleptic nuances of our young and vintage wines. Each glass will be paired with the best seasonal Tuscan products, to delight your palate and nourish your soul.

Itinerary
Walking through the vineyard, using simple and clear words, we will analyze agronomic techniques in relation to the biological cycle of the vine and techniques for the preservation and regeneration of rural resources.
In the cellar, we will discuss the fundamental principles of quality winemaking, at all the crucial stages of the grape-to-wine process: de-stemming-crushing, alcoholic fermentation, maceration, malolactic fermentation, racking, maturation, and ageing.
In the tasting room we will taste 5 of our fine organic wines. We will stimulate the senses to capture every subtle olfactory-gustatory note of our products. A symphony of emotions that only great wines can give. To delight your palate and nourish your soul, each glass of wine will be paired with a seasonal product and our valuable Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Excellent, my daughter and i would highly recommend La Lastra! Very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and humorous! We met with both Lorenzo & John Luigi and they are a great team! The facility/grounds were gorgeous. The lovely family served our delicious homemade pasta lunch with homegrown vegetables from their garden followed by a homemade dessert! We also appreciated that their vineyard and vegetable garden are all organic! And last but not least, their wine is delicious! And this experience is only a 45 minute walk from Sienas city centre! Great experience with a funny down to earth guide who shared the best and not so great aspects of wine and olive oil growing and harvesting. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and the food was very good. I would highly recommend this wine tasting to anyone interested in learning more about Italian wines.

Our guide and sommelier, Gianluigi, was very informative and passionate about the winery, their product and sustainable practices. We visited the vineyard, learning about their organic processes. We then visited the cellar, learning about the aging process. He shared a number of the challenges wineries are facing today as well as ways they are constantly adapting to meet those challenges. We learned quite a lot in a short time while enjoying a number of their wines paired with delicious local flavors. Excellent tour!

Absolutely perfect afternoon! Lorenzo was so knowledgeable, warm & friendly. We learned so much about the vineyard life and winemaking in general. The vineyard is beautiful, the tasting was exceptional, the food was an unexpected delight and the company was engaging. We made new friends, tried 5 wines and then dessert with a dessert wine. Our guide was amazing (GianMarco I believe) and really knew the ins and outs of wine making. They also have an olive grove which was a lovely surprise. Amazing experience and I would highly recommend! Support this winery :)
