Guided Tour to Caminito del Rey from Malaga
Description
We will start the tour with pick-up with transport at an agreed starting point. We will visit Caminito del Rey accompanied by a local guide. The Caminito del Rey consists of 7,7 kms between walkways and trails crossing at the end of the route over a 105 mts high suspension bridge over the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes. We will return to the meeting point to resume the return trip.

Everything about this was amazing. So breathtaking the photos do not do it justice. We went on a very hot day and our guide gave us loads of breaks in the shade. Hector the guide was so funny and informative throughout the process can't recommend him enough and Janet did an amazing job on the bus ensuring we were all safe and enjoying our time. The walk was easier than expected with little inclines, for my thick thighed girlies I'd recommend some long leggings as the chafing was the only downfall of the day 😂 and bring lots of water as it is not included. Cute little area at the end with toilets (at the beginning too) where you can have food and drink, you get loads of time to recover and relax before heading back. The bus had great aircon and very comfy. 💞

Yesterday, on the 8th, we did the Caminito del Rey, and Janet QueenJ was our guide with her driver Juan Carlos; he picked us up in Fuengirola and accompanied us throughout the excursion. Janet kept us informed about everything, on the bus, on the Caminito... it was very hot, and the end was a bit tough, but she brought out her miraculous water and cooled us down. What an incredible day! Janet was an amazing guide and made the day wonderful. Great history, explanation and attention to detail. My husband and zi missed the tour bus pickup, which was totally our fault due to cruise ship not docking in time. Janet provided very specific instructions on how and when to meet her so we could connect with our tour. She was amazing and stayed in touch. We so appreciate her helping us make this trip happen!

Unfortunately some information was missing, so we arrived too late. Then we were also almost left behind because she did not call us
Jammer om te horen dat je ervaring niet perfect was. Om alles op rolletjes te laten lopen is stiptheid op het ontmoetingspunt cruciaal; we raden dan ook altijd aan om 10 minuten van tevoren aanwezig te zijn. Pickup location gets confusing with so many different tour picking up there. Once at location guide leads you to entry of the park then park guide walk you through which was excellent. The tour is more brisk paced so people with some difficulties walking fast and climbing some stairs this may not be for you. Took about 2.5 hrs to walk. Doing it solo at your leisure may be doable.

The walk was amazing. Glad you have the choice to go alone or as a group. Next the new bridge will open, which could be a reason for a 2nd visit. It was a unique experience.

The views are amazing. Learning more about that area was very insightful into the past. The walk is not vigorous, but I would say there are challenging parts. More with footing not with elevation. Make sure you wear comfortable good shoes. Watch out for the narrow stairs. This was so worth the money, pictures do not do it justice. One thing that it’s not listed on the booking is that you will stop in a little village for lunch after your hike?
