Guided tour of the Banana World
Description
-Enjoy this beautiful banana farm in the municipality of Arucas, just 10 minutes from the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. -The only banana interpretation center on the island of Gran Canaria. -We do tourist excursions, school excursions and private guided tours. -You will learn about the cultivation process of this fruit consumed worldwide as well as try the different banana-based products such as wines or jams.

At the Gran Canaria Banana Museum we will guide you through a tour of our banana farm and we will teach you everything about the cultivation of this fruit. You will visit a Canarian house dating from 1804 that has been fully restored, true to its original architecture. Inside is the interpretation center and a shop where you can taste a selection of artisan products made on our islands that contain bananas, such as different jams, banana jam and even Banana Wine, as well as cosmetic lines also made with bananas. .

A perfect and informative short trip!
Our guide Andrea was super friendly and funny. Not a boring knowledge tour, but very interesting. Also the tasting afterwards. Beware of the banana liqueur, it is super delicious and sweet. You don't notice the alcohol. It's a nice souvenir. 🤗. Thank you, Andrea, we learned something new about bananas.

It's a pity that there isn't a guide who speaks Italian; however, both the English and Spanish guides were very skilled and professional. They explained and showed us many things and let us taste quite a few items. I won't tell you, but discover it for yourselves😀. I highly recommend it; it's a different excursion from the usual, suitable if you come here to Gran Canaria.

Visiting the banana plantation was a fantastic experience! We had the opportunity to see many different banana varieties and learn a lot of interesting facts about them. Ilie was an excellent guide who shared his knowledge with great enthusiasm and passion. The tour ended with a delicious tasting session, which was the perfect way to finish the visit.
