Together, we will leave for a period of 2 hours to discover the historic vineyard of Aÿ-Champagne, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will immerse yourself in my profession as a winegrower during a peaceful and romantic stroll. Then, I will make you discover my champagnes in the heart of the vines. It is therefore in the heart of nature and facing unforgettable landscapes, that the moment of a tasting time stops, giving way to the effervescence of Champagne emotions. Prepare to share my open-air bubble and remember to bring a cap, hat, scarf, jacket and good humor (depending on the weather conditions) on the day of our adventure.

Definitely worth it! The train from Paris takes only about an hour, making it an easy afternoon/day trip. It's the perfect escape from the crowds and a chance to experience an authentic French town. Richard was an outstanding guide, friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about Champagne. If you're looking for something different from the typical Paris itinerary, this experience is absolutely worth your time. I can say now that I had Champagne in Champagne!

If you love Champagne and small independent producers, highly recommend Richard Flineaux. We spent an afternoon with James, sampling his brut, rose, and blanc de blanc (and some other experiments), on this visit paired with hand-made chocolates produced by one of his friends down the street in Ay. His vineyard is literally his backyard, where he produces bubbles with the help of his mom and his daughter. So adorable. We love this guy and have secured several cases since, cannot wait to return. His champagne matches up to the best of the region, cannot recommend highly enough. If you've done a few of the big houses, you need to experience RF!
James was a remarkable host, showing us around the region and his own vineyards. Not only the countryside but pointing out the historic points in Ay. Highly recommended!
